Tiscareno Associates has revised plans for a 16-story tower on First Hill with a Whole Foods Market.
Changes follow the recommendations of a city design review board.
The proposal includes 265 residential units, 45,900 square feet of retail and underground parking for 358 vehicles. Ninety-nine bicycle spaces are also planned. A two-story structure would be demolished.
Columbia Pacific Advisors is the developer and Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, is the general contractor.
(Editor's note: This story has been changed to correct the name of the general contractor.)
The site address is 1001 Broadway, kitty-corner from Seattle University's campus.
Tiscareno's changes would accentuate Whole Foods' entrance on Madison Street, giving it similar treatment to the other entrances on Harvard Avenue and on Spring Street. A stone facade and a raised pedestrian canopy were added.
Other changes include new colors for the parapet and roof overhang, and deletion of a vertical band of stone on the south side of the tower.
A 760-square-foot retail space would be added at Spring and Harvard, near the residential entrance. Vehicular access would be on Harvard.
Seattle will hold a second design recommendation meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seattle University in Room 304 of the Pigott Building, at 901 12th Ave.
