Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants said it will manage a 120-room boutique hotel that is part of Fana Group of Companies' Four 106 project.

The project includes two high rise towers with the hotel and 270 apartments. A press release from Kimpton said the project will break ground in early 2017, and the hotel will open in 2019.

The hotel will be in the project's north tower, and it will include 5,000 square feet of meeting space, a ground-floor restaurant, gym and heated rooftop pool with adjacent event space and lounge.

CallisonRTKL is the architect and DCI Engineers is the structural engineer for Four 106. Schwartz Co. is the project manager.

The hotel will be Kimpton's eighth in the Northwest and fifth in the Puget Sound region. Its other local hotels are in Seattle: Hotel Monaco Seattle, Hotel Vintage Seattle, the Palladian and Alexis Hotel.

Fana in December paid $21.5 million for the property at 106th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Fourth Street.

Fana is a real estate investment and development company owned by Firoz Lalji, founder of Kits Cameras and the current CEO of Zones Inc. in Auburn. According to the press release, Fana developed Las Terrazas Resort in Belize and has hotel investments in Seattle and San Francisco.
