The family-run, 90-year-old McLendon Hardware chain announced late last month that it was selling itself to Memphis, Tennessee-based Central Network Retail Group. Terms were not announced at that time. CNR said the it would keep the current managers, cousins Gail and Mike McLendon, and staff. None of the chain's seven stores would be shuttered.
Now the first four of seven stores have sold for $30 million, according to King and Pierce county records.
