SEATTLE — As part of the city's Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda (HALA), Mayor Tim Burgess has proposed new rules to allow shared parking spaces in Seattle's densest areas.
According to the mayor's office, building owners would have the option to provide flexible-use parking stalls for short-term parking (such as shoppers) and long-term parking (commuters and residents). Owners would be responsible for management of the spaces and associated costs.
