Intracorp eyes 2.3-acre site on Rainier for up to three apartment buildings

The site at the northeast corner of Rainier and South Genesee Street went on the market this spring, without an asking price.

In the mid-1990s, the Rainier Valley Safeway moved from 4208 Rainier Ave. S. to a new store a few blocks north. The old supermarket later became a retail complex called Rainier Mall, with Jumbo Seafood Restaurant and Lounge perhaps its best-known tenant.
