California buyer nabs another Ballard site for $4.2M

Developed in 1927 on a 10,000-square-foot midblock parcel, the Kress Building has 20,067 gross square feet, according to CBRE. Current tenants include Bop Street Records, NW Crystals, and a discount store.

The old Kress grocery store in Ballard, at 2220 N.W. Market St., has sold for just over $4.2 million, according to King County records. The seller was Mather Properties, which acquired the property in 2000 for a little over $1.2 million.
