Kirkland-based Cobalt Mortgage appointed Ryan Wheelwright and Trevor Bennett co-branch managers for the Bellevue Two office. Wheelwright has more than 10 years of mortgage lending and management experience. Bennett has more than 12 years of mortgage industry experience and has been recognized for top loan origination on a national level. The branch is just south of downtown Bellevue on Southeast Eighth Street.

Jason Wilcox, CCIM, has been named the Argus Self Storage sales network broker affiliate in Washington state. He is part of a national network of brokers who assist buyers and sellers of self-storage real estate. Wilcox will help with research, evaluation, and access to buyers and sellers. He has more than 18 years of experience in multifamily housing and commercial real estate transactions. The U.S. has 2.3 billion square feet of self-storage space.

Keller Williams in Bellevue hired two new agents in September: Douglas Giles, previously with John L. Scott, and Emi Takagi, who is new to the industry. The agent count in Keller Williams' Bellevue Market Center now stands at 87.

Axis Planning & Development, a real estate and construction planning firm, said Irma Dore has joined as principal. The company specializes in land planning, infrastructure, tenant improvements and feasibility studies. Projects range from commercial office space to high-end housing and the Pike Place Market seismic upgrades. Dore will provide multi-disciplinary expertise as an architect, project manager and owner's rep. She has an architecture degree from Washington State University, and has worked for Port Blakely Communities, Investco Management Services, Unico Properties and Vulcan.

Real Estate Investment Services hired Maria Mancilla as a property manager in the Tacoma office. She will manage single-family homes and multiplexes in north Tacoma, University Place and Gig Harbor. She was admissions and marketing director for a senior health care facility in Des Moines. Heather Sanders was hired to do research and development in Tacoma. She was a property manager at Madison Development in Kirkland and Raskin Partners in Bellevue. Started by the Anderson/Merriman family in 1983, REIS specializes in commercial real estate services and has offices in Tacoma, DuPont and Seattle.

Wallace Properties has hired Kathleen Taylor as an associate in Bellevue. She has more than 15 years of real estate experience in sales, mortgages, finance and commercial brokerage.
ULI Northwest will present Emerging Trends 2013, a real estate forecast event, on Nov. 7 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel from 7:30 to 9 a.m. It will include a presentation on Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2013, a report from PwC and ULI, and the outlook for the Seattle area with a panel of investors and experts. The keynote speaker is Dean Schwanke, executive director of the ULI Center for Capital Markets and Real Estate in Washington, D.C. On Oct. 16 and 17 affordable housing professionals will gather at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center for Housing Washington 2012. Topics include demographics, the governor's race, funding and creative design. U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan will speak, along with U.S. Senator Patty Murray, and author and Age Wave co-founder Maddy Dychtwald, who will look at social forces that have shaped each generation and the impacts on housing.
