Carbonatto

Blake Carbonatto has joined CBRE's Seattle office as a vice president with the capital markets debt and equity finance team. Carbonatto will work with companies to finance new projects and acquisitions. Los Angeles-based CBRE says it is the largest commercial real estate firm in the world in terms of revenue. It has more than 300 offices worldwide.

NBS Financial Services

Johnson

NBS Financial Services hired Austin Johnson as a financial analyst. He will be on the loan origination team, working with clients to secure funding from lenders. Johnson was an investment analyst intern at Trammell Crow Co.'s Seattle office and a research analyst at Colliers International in Bellevue. NBS Financial Services is the capital provider for Norris, Beggs & Simpson Cos., a Portland-based commercial real estate company.

Davis Property & Investment

Davis Property & Investment, a Kent-based developer and asset manager, has added Shane DeLaCruz and Lucca Merlino to its asset management team. As facility manager, DeLaCruz will be responsible for maintenance and will manage several renovation projects. Merlino will be a leasing manager and focus on marketing, lease negotiations, and tenant and broker relationships. Merlino previously worked in Kidder Mathews' marketing department.

Local buildings win BOMA awards

Seattle Municipal Tower received the Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award for a government building at the Building Owners and Managers Association's annual conference in San Diego last week. The 62-story Municipal Tower is owned by the city of Seattle and managed by CBRE. Four other CBRE-managed properties won international TOBYs from BOMA, having already won in local and regional categories. Three other Seattle-area buildings won regional awards: Adobe Waterfront Building in Fremont, owned by Kilroy Realty Corp. and managed by Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce; Key Center in Bellevue, owned and managed by Kilroy; and Russell Investments Center in Seattle, owned and managed by CommonWealth Partners.

Keller Williams Realty hired Anne Burke and Jodi Hill to lead the new downtown Seattle office at 1300 Dexter Ave. N. Burke has been with Coldwell Banker Bain and Re/Max for 17 years, where she was managing broker. She will focus on recruiting new agents, with a goal of hiring six per month. Hill has been in the industry for 10 years and was most recently with John L. Scott Real Estate. She will focus on financial management and recruiting. Keller Williams would like to have 200 agents in the new office, which will focus on areas in and around South Lake Union. Keller Williams says it is the largest real estate franchise operation in the U.S., with 700 offices and more than 80,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada.

Sales up at Suncadia

Suncadia, a resort 80 miles east of Seattle, said it has sold more than $27 million in condos and land so far this year. Last year Suncadia Real Estate Sales Co. closed sales totaling $42 million, more than double sales in 2011. Suncadia representatives said the increase shows consumer confidence is recovering. More than 60 new homes will be developed at Suncadia this year, up from 40 last year. Suncadia says it has sold more than 1,300 condos and parcels since 2003.
