Grose joins CBRE valuation services

Grose

CBRE has hired Jeff Grose to lead the Valuation and Advisory Services Group. He will be a senior managing director in charge of all valuation services in the Pacific Northwest. Grose has more than 20 years of experience, and last worked at Colliers International, where he managed valuation services in Portland, Vancouver and Boise. CBRE is based in Los Angeles and has more than 70,000 employees 400 offices around the world.

San Francisco firm acquires Mark Co.

The Mark Co., the broker for Bosa Development's Insignia condo project in Seattle, has been acquired by Pacific Union International of San Francisco. The Mark Co. will continue to use its brand name under the banner of Pacific Union. The Mark Co. said it has generated more than $5 billion in sales and represented some of the biggest projects in the West totaling more than 10,000 units. Pacific Union is a luxury brokerage that operates in eight northern California regions. Its 2014 sales volume was $6.75 billion.

3 stores open in Silverdale

The Trails at Silverdale opens its first stores this weekend: Ulta Beauty, home fashion store HomeGoods and AT&T. The 220,000-square-foot center is the first major new retail in Kitsap County in more than 15 years, according to a press release from the developer, CenterCal Properties of El Segundo, California. Blazing Onion will open by the end of the year. Stores set to open in 2016 include Chipotle, Corner Bakery Cafe, Mod Pizza, Pacific Dental, Select Comfort, Total Wine and Verizon Wireless. The center is in the Waaga Way development district, just north of Kitsap Mall, at the intersection of Greaves Way and state Route 3.

CREW Signature Event Oct. 22

Commercial Real Estate Women Seattle & Sound will hold its annual Signature Event Oct. 22 at the Space Needle. It starts at 7 p.m. with beer and wine, food, and live music. There will be an auction with proceeds used to help women pursuing careers in construction management, architecture, law, business, engineering and urban planning. 12th Avenue Arts wins ULI award

Capitol Hill Housing's 12th Avenue Arts was one of 10 winners in Urban Land Institute's Global Awards for Excellence. It was one of five U.S. projects. The other winners are in England, France, Sweden and China. 12th Avenue Arts is at 1620 12th Ave. on Capitol Hill, with 88 units of affordable housing, theater space, offices, retail and underground parking for the Seattle Police Department. SMR Architects designed it, and Walsh Construction Co. was the general contractor.

Program here Nov. 19 on EB-5 visas

The Seminar Group will hold a meeting on the federal EB-5 immigrant visa program Nov. 19 at Hilton Seattle. The program offers permanent residency green cards for immigrants who invest in job-creating projects.
