Project description: Upgrade existing filter wastewater treatment plant. The upgrade will improve effluent quality, remove ammonia and increase the average daily treatment capacity of the plant to 7.9-million gallons. The work includes a new influent screen, two aeration basins (1.4 million gallons each), two selector tanks ($1.4 million gallons each), three 100 foot diameter clarifiers, a sludge pumping station, a sludge dewatering facility and rehabilitation of the existing anaerobic diges-ters.
Original contract amount: $15,859,227.
Start of construction: Jan. 1999.
Expected completion date: June 2000.
