Holly Park Redevelopment
Holly Park Redevelopment
Project description: The Holly Park redevelopment is one of the largest municipal public-housing redevelopment projects in U.S. history. It includes both for-sale and rental housing in a variety of multi-family configurations, including duplexes, four-plexes and eight-plexes. The overall plan calls for three phases totalling 1,200 housing units, parks and other amenities at a total cost of between $160 million and $180 million. Included is the complete demolition of existing housing, removal and replacement of underground utilities and services, and new roadwork. The first phase includes 454 units, a central community park and a community resource center.

The project is being developed as a public-private partnership between the Seattle Housing Authority and Popkin Development of Seattle. It is being built under a construction management joint-venture between Absher Construction Co. and Pacific Components (Absher-Pacific).
