SEATTLE — What will it take for humans to live together off this planet? That's the focus of the Museum of Flight's second annual SpaceFest Nov. 5-7. The theme is “Oh the Humanity!” with a focus on the physical and cultural issues of life off Earth.
The gaming company VALVe will provide VIVE VR headsets so you can virtually walk on Mars.
Speakers will include astronauts, writers, artists, space entrepreneurs and other visionaries, and there will be presentations by Seattle Rep on science fiction and Seattle Opera on the topic “In Space, No One Can Hear You Sing.”
SpaceFest 2015 begins at 5 p.m. Thursday with a paper glider workshop led by astronaut Dr. John Herrington. Other speakers are NASA JPL visual strategist David Delgado and Chris Carberry, CEO of Explore Mars, a nonprofit focused on sending humans to Mars.
