Prentice is Laucks senior project manager

SEATTLE -- Hugh Prentice has been appointed senior project manager at Laucks Testing Laboratories in Seattle. An environmental engineer, Prentice has over 20 years of experience in regulatory compliance testing as well as project management, program design, quality assurance and laboratory operations. Exponent Inc.

The Bellevue office of Exponent Inc., a multidisciplinary organization of scientists, physicians, engineers and business consultants performing in-depth scientific research and analysis, has added Leslie Brewer, senior geologist; Gary Brugger, senior engineer; and Taryn Shriver, associate geologist.

Fenpro

Kumar Grover has joined Fenpro Inc. as director of design, engineering, research and development. Grover has over 35 years of experience in the commercial window industry and holds masters' degrees in industrial design and electrical and mechanical engineering. He has made many contributions to the improvement of window and curtain wall design and holds rights to 25 American and British patents.

GGLO

GGLO has promoted four staff members to the level of principal, three to senior associate and another three to the level of associate. Jim Moore has been promoted to principal. Currently, he is working on a hotel in Woodinville and a multi-family residential project on Mercer Island. Tom Sheldon has been promoted to principal. Currently, he is working on mixed use residential projects in Bellevue and Redmond, a condominium project in Harbor Pointe and a shoreline master plan for a mixed-use project west of Port Orchard. Carol Deal Schaefer, director of interior design at GGLO since 1987, has been promoted to principal. Her current work includes the just completed Molbak's at University Village, Club International at the South Satellite of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and three private residences. Also, she is providing interior design services for Harbor Steps North. Michael Wishkoski has been promoted to principal. Currently, he is working on two urban in-fill projects in downtown Seattle and a low-income housing project in Marysville. William Castillo has been promoted to senior associate. His recent work includes an office building renovation in Phoenix, Arizona, a mixed-use project in Juanita and a low-income housing project in Portland. Irma Dore has been promoted to senior associate. Currently, she is working on several multi-family housing projects in Oregon. Renee Roman has been promoted to senior associate. Currently, she is now designing an office building on Eastlake. James Bradley has been promoted to associate. His current work includes an urban in-fill residential building in downtown Seattle, a golf clubhouse in Mukilteo and a multi-family residential project on Mercer Island. David Heinen has been promoted to associate. Currently, he is working on several retail projects at University Village and an office building renovation in Phoenix, Arizona. Lori Naig, Interior Designer, has been promoted to associate. Her current work includes an urban in-fill mixed use residential building in downtown Seattle, a multi-family residential project on Mercer Island and an office building renovation in Phoenix, Arizona.

Shapiro

Mark Anderson has joined Shapiro and Associates, Inc. as a senior environmental engineer and air quality specialist. He is currently conducting air quality studies for a number of Snohomish County and Idaho Transportation Department road improvement projects, a Snohomish County solid waste transfer station modification project and a private residential development in South Puget Sound. Bill Jones has joined the Portland office of Shapiro as a principal, economist and senior urban planner. Prior to joining Shapiro, he was planning and environmental services group manager for KCM. He is currently working on a capital improvement plan analysis for North Bend and a potential annexation area study for Black Diamond. John Lenth has joined the firm as an environmentla scientist with experience in water quality, hydrology, aquatic ecology, statistics and data management. He is working on the Emerald Downs water quality monitoring program and the Lakemont Stormwater treatment facility monitoring project. Jill Raban has joined the firm as a technical editor. Prior to joining Shapiro, Raban was copy editor of the Skagit Valley Herald.

HDR

Rubin A. Jackson has been hired by HDR Engineering Inc. as manager of engineering applications in the company's Bellevue office. He is the owner of Northwest CADD Services, Inc.

CTS

Jeffrey Brown, previously with the Port of Seattle, has joined CTS Engineers, Inc. as a senior civil engineer. Thomas S. Barger has rejoined the firm as senior project surveyor.

Hornall Anderson Design Works

Lisa Cerveny was recently named principal of Seattle-based Hornall Anderson Design Works, a graphic design firm specializing in brand and marketing strategy. Cerveny formerly served as project manager.
