ZAAZ.com announced three new networking agreements with several clients: KCTS Television of Seattle, WellStreet International of Phoenix, and Activate.net of Seattle. ZAAZ, an Internet design and technology provider, was founded in 1999. It is privately held with 35 employees in offices near Pike Place Market. Producers Jodi Swanson, Jane Kim and Gary Jacobson will head teams assigned to the new projects.

Anchor Environmental

Steve Cappellino has joined Anchor Environmental as an environmental scientist, expanding the firm's capacity in sediment chemistry and toxicity expertise. His primary focus will be working with industrial site managers on sediment management and cleanup issues. He has spent nine years working in Puget Sound and on the Gulf Coast.

Anchor focuses its environmental sciences and engineering consulting work on aquatic-based remediation and waterfront development through all phases of planning and construction. Currently the firm has projects throughout North America, including the Gulf Coast, Great Lakes and Alaska.

Horton Lantz Marocco

Horton Lantz Marocco, a Seattle-based design agency, announced the addition of Kelly Healy, John Ide and Kim Van Allsburg. Healy joins the agency as account manager and had been working for the agency in a freelance position for five months prior to accepting the permanent position. Ide joins the agency as a designer. Most recently Ide worked for GA Design in Bellevue. Van Allsburg joins the agency as a project manager. She has more than 10 years of industry experience, working most recently for Kirkland's Wall Data as a senior buyer

AGRA

The Seattle office of AGRA Earth & Environmental recently added Dean White as a principal in the geotechnical group, with the responsibility of group operations manager.

The firm's environmental group has added Mark Johns as a principal.

Conrad Felice has joined AGRA as director of geotechnical engineering for the western region. He will be working out of the firm's Kirkland office.

Architects BCRA Tsang

Dale Morgan and Harlow Hogenson have recently joined Architects BCRA Tsang in Tacoma.

Morgan has experience in the design of educational projects and multi-unit residential development.

Hogenson has experience in construction management, quality control and cost estimating for educational, military, medical and commercial facilities. His recent projects with BCRA Tsang include Central Washington University's new science facility.

BOE Architects

Jill Ann Cohn has joined BOE Architects in Tacoma. She will be managing several new office building projects in east Tacoma, Puyallup and Kent. She is also assisting in the renovation of the Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Renton.

BOORA Architects

Several new employees have joined BOORA Architects, bringing the firm’s total staff size to 100.

Lisa McClellan has joined BOORA and will be helping design the new $5.7 million, 38,500-square-foot practice facility for the Sacramento Kings.

Michael Milakovich has designed commercial offices, retail, housing and hospitality facilities. Currently, he is working on the new medical education building at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

William Small is a project architect for Adidas Village, which will serve as headquarters for both Adidas America and Adidas International. A registered architect in Oregon, Arizona and Massachusetts, Small has worked for other Portland architectural firms.

Geiger Engineers

Geiger Gossen Hamilton Liao Engineers, a structural and marine engineering firm, has named William Haynes and John King as associates in its Bellingham office.

Haynes' professional experience includes design of marinas, wave attenuators, piers and boathouses. His current projects include the Columbia River Treaty fishing access and Ko’Olina Marina in Oahu, Hawaii.

King's professional experience includes civil and marine structures in the Northwest. His current projects include the new 72,000-square-foot Ferndale Middle School and a three-story, 36,000-square-foot office building in Bellingham.

Mulvanny Architects

Dan Foltz was recently named corporate director of design for Mulvanny Architects in Bellevue. Foltz was promoted following the merger of Mulvanny with Seattle-based G2 Architecture and now oversees design for the entire firm. He is senior designer for downtown Bellevue’s Superblock, a mixed-use project featuring 1.6 million square feet of retail, entertainment, office, hotel and residential space. He also recently completed the design of the 20-story Bellevue Technology Tower, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Headquarters, and a 1.3 million-square-foot mixed-use project in Salt Lake City.

Marshall and Associates

P. Douglas Sund has been named vice president of operations at Marshall and Associates.

In the Olympia corporate headquarters, Geographic Information System analyst Diana Henderson has joined the firm, and former GIS analysts Rhett Harman and Chuck Bishop have been promoted to project managers.

In Marshall’s Boise office, Don Jensen has joined the firm as a GIS analyst and Jim Hershberger has been promoted to project manager.

Parametrix

Gerry Jones has been named chief executive officer of Parametrix and a member of the company's board of directors. He joined the firm in 1998 and worked as the office manager of its corporate headquarters in Sumner. Prior to joining the firm, Jones was the city of Seattle’s director of Neighborhood Planning.

Jeff Peacock was named vice president and director of environmental and infrastructure services. Formerly manager of the transportation business line, Peacock joined the company in 1989 as a design engineer.

Mel Sears was named vice president and chief operations officer. He managed the company's Portland regional operations for about four years.

Parametrix is an engineering, environmental sciences and architectural company based in Sumner.

Shannon & Wilson

Daniel Semanskee has been promoted to vice president at Shannon & Wilson. He was recently hired as the chief financial officer after serving as the company’s outside certified public accountant and consultant.

Scott Bender has been promoted to senior associate. A hydrogeologist, he specializes in water rights mitigation, groundwater supply and large-scale construction dewatering systems. Gregory Fischer has been promoted to senior associate. His experience includes transportation, infrastructure, building, waterfront and landslide projects. He was the assistant project manager for Shannon & Wilson’s contract for Link Light Rail.

Stanley Boyle has been promoted to associate. A geotechnical and civil engineer, he has experience in earth dam, irrigation canal and pipeline construction; retaining wall design; and landslide stabilization.

Shannon & Wilson is a geotechnical and environmental consulting firm based in Seattle.

Susan Black and Associates

Brad Shinn has been named senior associate of Susan Black and Associates, a landscape architectural firm in Seattle.

Shinn has more than 12 years experience developing public involvement programs for public and private sector clients. He specializes in water resources and transportation planning and construction.

SB&A provides planning and design services on transportation, utility, urban development, sports and park facilities. The firm’s recent work includes participation in the Landsburg fish passage project and the Enumclaw downtown improvement plan
