David Evans and Associates

David Evans and Associates (DEA), an environmental and engineering firm, has hired several employees in its Bellevue office.

John "Ted" Everage has joined DEA as a senior associate and land development business group manager. Everage has more than 34 years of experience as a civil engineer and land surveyor. He comes to the firm from Stantec, formerly known as Cella Barr, in Tucson, Ariz. Prior to that, he was the president of Everage Consultants, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Steve Schuller has been hired as a civil engineer. Schuller, who has 13 years of professional experience, was the associate director of public works for Kittitas County and an engineer manager for several companies in Seattle. He specializes in transportation, land development and environmental engineering.

Nhan Vo has more than four years of professional experience, focusing in civil transportation design. Prior to joining the firm, Vo worked for Fredric R. Harris Inc. His current assignments are storm drainage and utilities design.

Theresa Cayetano has also joined the firm. Cayetano has more than four years of transportation design experience. She specializes in roadway geometrics and will support the firm's land development division.

Orion Ahrensfeld has been hired as CADD technician. A recent graduate from Lake Washington Technical College, he has been working in the civil drafting field for the past year.

HBB

Paul Songe-Moller has been hired as a project manager at HBB, a Seattle-based mechanical engineering firm. He is working on the Island County Courthouse remodel, a ground-source heat pump system for the Lake Washington School District; and the administrative building for the Oak Harbor School District.

Byron Holmstead has also joined the firm as a project manager. He is working on several local school projects, including the remodel of Washington Middle School in Seattle.

Mulvanny G2

Interior designer Mark Gribbons has joined Mulvanny G2 Architects. Gribbons will direct the firm's interiors studio as principal-in-charge, working from the firm's Seattle office. He is working on a variety of projects in the Puget Sound area including the ATL Ultrasound headquarters in Bothell; the Tacoma Convention Center; the Sorrento Hotel renovation in Seattle; and Hines Properties' 112th@ 12th building in Bellevue. Prior to joining Mulvanny G2, Gribbons worked for several firms, including Hellmuth Obata + Kassabaum, Leo A. Daly, Gensler and RTKL. He has 14 years of interior architecture experience, specializing in the design of what the firm calls "alternative workplaces and high technology environments." He also has designed a variety of projects for entertainment, financial and corporate clients.

Mayer/Reed

Mayer/Reed, a Portland landscape architectural firm, has hired Colleen Wolfe, who is working on the Rosemont Commons multifamily housing project and the Rosemont Commons Senior Center, both in northeast Portland. She is also working on the Children's Garden, one of many such "themed gardens" at The Oregon Garden in Silverton. She worked in Eugene for Stangeland & Associates as a landscape designer before joining Mayer/Reed.

Also new to the firm is Elizabeth Crane, who is doing landscape design for The Old Mill District in Bend, the city of Rainier's downtown/riverfront development, the Mount. Talbert master plan for the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District, and entryway design for the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. Prior to joining Mayer/Reed, she worked at Urbsworks in Portland as an urban designer and as a consultant to local landscape architects.

Marshall and Associates

Kristin Gerhart has been hired by Marshall and Associates, an Olympia-based firm specializing in geographic information systems (GIS). Gerhart is the team leader for the firm's remote sensing division in Seattle. She will provide aerial imagery products, analytical support and technical documentation. Previously employed as a project manager by Dimension4 in Seattle, Gerhart has 13 years of experience as a GIS professional.

BJSS Duarte Bryant

Renee Giroux has recently joined the marketing department of BJSS Duarte Bryant, an architecture and planning firm with offices in Seattle and Olympia. The firm specializes in the design of buildings for K-12 and higher education institutions, as well as historic renovation projects and medical and research facilities.

Fletcher Farr Ayotte

Portland architecture, planning and interior design firm Fletcher Farr Ayotte has hired four new employees.

Carla Kenworthy, an interior designer with an interest in color psychology and lighting design, is working on several projects, including the Marcus Whitman Hotel and Orenco Town Center. She has four years of professional experience.

Jay Fesler, who has two years of experience designing health care buildings, is working on projects for U.S. Post Office facilities in Pendleton and Medford.

Jennifer Jenkins, who is working with principal Dale Farr on residential projects, has two years of professional experience.

Jeff Schnabel has 15 years of professional experience, working as a project designer for educational institutions and community facilities. Prior to his work as an architect, he was a landscape architect, designing campus master plans, parks and site plans for recreational facilities.

Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn

Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn, a Tacoma-based design firm, has promoted several employees.

Brett Lindsay has been promoted to job captain. He is working on the New Look Apartments at Eleventh Avenue and Martin Luther King Way, the Yakima County Jail renovation and the Sumner City Hall.

Matthew Meacham has advanced to the role of computer network administrator. He is working on the Tacoma Theater District light rail station, the Tacoma Armory feasibility study and is assisting with the Mason Middle School project.

Ken Holt has been promoted to CADD manager. His current projects are the Thurston County Health Department and an office building for the Washington National Guard.

The firm has also hired several new employees.

Steffanee Hurley has joined as marketing assistant and records retention coordinator.

Christopher Ackerman is an intern and junior designer who is working on the 115,000-square-foot new Mason Middle School project. He recently graduated from Washington State University, where his senior thesis was the design of a virtual golf course in an urban setting.

John Ruf has joined the firm as a project architect with responsibility for construction documents and construction administration. He is working on projects for the city of Sumner.

Ronald Harpel, an associate architect, is working on Mason Middle School. In his prior employment with other Tacoma-area firms, he worked on the rehabilitation of the Schoenfeld Building and the Governor's Mansion in Olympia.
