Cinamon previously worked with Marc LaRoche Architects, most recently completing a residential project in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. He has also worked with Cutler Anderson Architects and Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen. Cinamon joins the Seattle office to work on the Ballard Library.
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has offices in Seattle, Berkeley, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre.

Vandegrift
|
Vandegrift is marketing manager. She has 13 years of experience in the A/E/C industry. Vandegrift’s focus will include business development and marketing activities, including strategic planning, client relations, proposals and qualifications, and market research. Vandegrift is president of the board of directors for the Seattle Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
Jim Evans has been hired as a senior mechanical engineer. Evans has 35 years of experience designing mechanical systems. Evans’ background includes HVAC, plumbing, pipe stress analysis and power generation for commercial office, institutional and municipal projects. McGowan Broz is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm located in Bellevue.
Nathan D. Brown has joined Freeman Fong Architecture as a designer. Brown comes to the firm with experience in construction management and residential architecture. Brown most recently served as a senior estimator and project manager for the Widewaters Group in Syracuse, N.Y. He holds an architecture degree from Syracuse University.

Ekman has 15 years of professional management consulting experience with federal, municipal and commercial clients. He has a background in strategic business planning, business process and organizational redesign, change management and facilitation services. Recent project experience includes serving as program manager and principal management consultant for the Washington State Transportation Permit Efficiency and Accountability Committee.

Her work as principal lighting designer at Wheel Gersztoff Shankar Selles in Los Angeles received national acclaim, including awards for the Guam International Airport, Los Angeles Union Station and Southwestern University School of Law. International projects include the Four Seasons Hotel in Goa, India and the Renaissance and New World hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Seattle office of Gensler Architecture, Design & Planning Worldwide has promoted a senior associate and an associate.
Sidney Scarboro was promoted to senior associate. Scarboro brings 19 years of experience to Gensler. She has led numerous complex projects with large teams. Her focus is project continuity, from schematic design through construction and final occupancy. Scarboro's role includes project management, staffing and team mentoring.
Ryan Haines was promoted to associate. Haines specializes in building shells, from design to construction documents. Most recently he has been involved in an addition to a federal office building, a high-rise condo hotel and several corporate interior projects for clients in the financial service sector. The Gensler Seattle office was established in 1999 with a staff of three that has grown to 15.

Scott Waggoner has been promoted to associate principal/shareholder. He is currently designing a new interpretive center for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and is providing design for the expansion of the Aloha Park Elementary School for the Beaverton School District.
Karyn Goodfriend has been promoted to associate. She has worked with the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Eric Hoffman has been promoted to associate. He recently completed interior design work for the Salem Sustainability Pilot Project, and offices for the Oregon Department of Human Services.

Rebecca Breier, a recent Washington State University communications graduate, has been hired as the new marketing assistant/receptionist. Breier will assist the marketing, environmental services and solid waste engineering staff with customer service and proposal development projects.

He is active on several national committees of the American Concrete Institute that develop and maintain standards for the design, construction and repair of concrete structures. He is also involved with the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and serves on the Earthquake Engineering Committee of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington.

Since joining Helix, he has developed the design for all buildings at the Port of Tacoma’s new Pierce County Terminal and Portland National Guard Fire Station.
