Elekes managed several stages of design and construction of the $80 million interchange at Interstate 5 and 196th Avenue. He will be responsible for business development and managing transportation design projects.
Zollman has experience with system design, implementation, technical and project management for industrial, natural resource, environmental, federal and municipal clients. She provides GIS training for surveyors for continuing education credit through the Land Surveyors of Washington and the Montana Association of Registered Land Surveyors.

Heidi Fahy joins the interior design team as job captain, focusing on commercial and residential design. Fahy is working on the condo unit design at 2200 Westlake Ave., a three-tower, mixed-use development in South Lake Union, and a commercial tenant improvement for the Dwelling Co.
Felicia Banegas recently joined the firm to manage the front desk and assist with accounting.
Specializing in retail and hospitality design, Carole Miglorie has 15 years' experience in interior design. Miglorie is working on several projects including 1000 First Avenue, a condo/hotel high-rise, and Blakely Hall a community center in Issaquah Highlands that will apply for LEED certification.
Elzbieta Zielinska joined the architecture team. Zielinska will work on the Point Edwards project, a planned community currently under construction in Edmonds. She earned her master of architecture in Poland and has 13 years in architecture working in both Canada and the U.S.

The Seattle office of Local Initiatives Support Corp., a nonprofit community development organization, provided more than $10.8 million in new market tax credits to U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp., to finance redevelopment of the Albers Mill on Tacoma's waterfront. The project will be done this week, according to officials of Heritage Properties, the Anchorage-based developer that is rehabbing the mill into 36 apartment lofts plus retail. Absher Construction Co., of Puyallup is the contractor, and Architects BCRA Tsang of Tacoma is the designer. The credits are aimed at stimulating economic development in low-income communities.

Henry is working on several projects on the Western Washington University and Whitman College campuses. Henry is also a certified arborist and is skilled at plant material selection for most regions of the U.S. and Canada.
Morley is working on the Merrill Hall replacement project at the Center for Urban Horticulture and the Meydenbauer project in Bellevue.
Michaelsen is working on the Sand Point Magnuson Park, the Lynnwood Neighborhood Parks and the Gas Works Park improvements project. He recently joined the Seattle Architectural Foundation Board of Directors after eight years volunteering as an architectural tour planner and guide.
Morse is a certified arborist and a member of the Seattle Architectural Foundation's Viewpoints Tour Planning Committee.
Chastain is a LEED-accredited professional and brings a sustainable approach to all of his projects. Mitton was promoted to project manager for his work on Seattle Public Schools' Roosevelt High School renovation, Washington State University's Library Road Improvements and the Linden Orchard Neighborhood Park project.

Beseler was a U.S. Coast Guard captain and brings 26 years of military engineering and facility management experience to the company. He was involved in planning, design, construction and operation of upland and waterfront facilities in U.S. states and territories.
Beseler also serves as a director for the Seattle post of the Society of American Military Engineers.

Zipper Zeman Associates announced Michael J. Bullock and Eric J. Lim have received professional engineering licenses for Washington.
Bullock has experience performing Phase I environmental site assessments and evaluating innate risks of individual properties, as well as performing geotechnical engineering evaluations including field explorations and construction monitoring.
Lim has performed construction monitoring, subsurface explorations, foundation and shoring consultation, and laboratory testing for a variety of project types including commercial and public development, airport infrastructure, and recreational facilities.
Zipper Zeman Associates provides geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting and engineering geology services.
Facility Engineering Associates, an engineering consulting firm, selected James Portugal for institutional market segment leader. Portugal will manage institutional clients and lead FEA in developing products and services.
Portugal will continue as a senior project manager in the condition assessment and facilities management group where he provides significant knowledge on facilities management processes and technology.
