Peterson works with property owners on sustainable design.
Pihl has been involved in McCaw Hall in Seattle, McIntyre Hall Performing Arts & Conference Center in Mount Vernon and the Performing Arts Center for the Eastside in Bellevue.

Since joining DEA in 2002, he has managed the topographic and boundary survey used for design of the new Tacoma Police headquarters, the site redevelopment topographic survey for Totem Ocean Trailer Express for the Port of Tacoma and the Bridge of Glass.
West is a member of the Land Surveyor Association of Washington and the American Congress on Survey and Mapping.

The firm has also added Chip Maguire as a design intern. Maguire has experience with residential and commercial projects, and currently is involved with the firm's sustainable architecture and environmental design practice.
Marti Amsbaugh has joined as an administrative assistant. For the last 20 years, Amsbaugh has been involved in the land use, development and real estate industry.

Sanford has expertise in strategic real estate planning, financial and life-cycle cost analysis, economic forecasting and operational planning for large, complex public and private enterprises. He leads NBBJ MSOffice1 practice areas, and its planning and civic projects. He joined NBBJ in 1974.
Jeanne Iannucci, a new principal, has worked on projects as small as the University of Washington's Wilson Laboratory Remodel, or as large as the University of Washington Bothell/Cascadia Community College campus, as well as Safeco Field, Seattle Justice Center and Sea-Tac Airport South Terminal expansion. She is currently managing the Museum of Flight expansion.
New senior associates are Jim Brennan, Debbie Castle, Phil Duff, Tim Jones, Glen Kawaguchi, Angela O'Brien-Ruff, Bill Parker, Jacqueline Pulley, Bobby Pressley and Kim Selby.

NewsBriefs:Priya Gupta recently joined Johnson Braund Design Group's architecture studio as a project architect. Priya has two years design experience on hospitality and housing projects. Gupta is currently involved with the Rainier Court affordable housing in the Rainier Valley.
Rachael Saumweber also joined JBDG as an architect. Her background includes design development, construction documents, as-builts and other architectural drawings for a variety of project types. She is involved in several Courtyard by Marriott reinvention projects throughout the U.S. She is also currently involved in design of the Ballinger Court affordable senior housing project in Edmonds.
Scott Stidell is new at the firm as an architect. Scott has seven years experience as an architect and project manager for federal and residential projects. He is developing hotel prototype documents for Marriott International.
Erin Wark joined JBDG as project architect. Her background includes design development in the housing and hospitality areas. She is currently involved in the Courtyard by Marriott reinvention projects in the U.S.
Ken Black recently joined the Portland office of Parametrix, where he will lead the water/wastewater division. Black has 20 years of engineering experience, with particular emphasis in business development and new technology. He will be responsible for project execution, business development, and staff management.
Most recently, Black was the chief applications engineer for MagnaDrive Corp. in Seattle, where he established engineering sales and a marketing plan for an emerging technology for industrial/municipal motor systems.
DeForest Ogden Design Office has named Lydia Marshall a senior associate. Marshall has been with the firm for three years and has 15 years experience in custom residential design. She was the project architect for the firm's award-winning house and gallery on Whidbey Island
.
Sparling project designer Brett Hanson will serve as chair of the Industry Applications Society Seattle chapter for 2004. IAS is a division of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 377,000 members in 150 countries. IAS supports professionals in the electrical and electronic engineering industry. Hanson will represent the IAS chapter at monthly Seattle Section Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers meetings and at the 2003 annual meeting for both organizations in Salt Lake City.

Haugk is mechanical engineer on K-12, financial and specialty retail projects. Current projects include the phased renovations at Foss, International and Monroe high schools, as well as several newly constructed Washington Mutual Bank Occasio branches.
As a project manager and team leader, Parker oversees telecommunications consulting and design services for financial, municipal and retail projects. He is currently serving on Washington Mutual Bank's nationwide back-up power initiative.

Barlow joins the civil engineering department in expanding the firm's engineering capabilities. She is working on a multi-family residential project, the Harvard Estates, as well as the Evergreen State College Daniel J. Evans Library Building. She will provide in-house engineering expertise for architectural and site design projects, as well as independent consulting, analysis, design and construction assistance for site, drainage, environmental and transportation projects.
Saito brings 20 years experience to the educational design studio. He is also working on Evergreen State College library building modernization and addition. Saito has worked on K-12 education, multi-family, medical buildings, library buildings, municipal, postal and commercial clients.
