Edmonds-based CG Engineering added Doug Prindle, Dennis Titus and James Phillips to its staff. Prindle joins after receiving his master's in structural engineering from the University of Washington. He has experience with civil and structural projects, including residential, commercial and industrial site planning. As a civil and structural designer, Titus will assist on projects from initial planning to final design. He will also provide CAD drafting, as will Phillips.

CG Engineering's Joe Galusha and Chris Bernards recently earned professional engineering licenses. Galusha has over five years of structural design experience. He has worked on a number of mixed-use and senior apartment projects in Washington, California and Nevada. He is involved in the construction of Vintage Rose Hills in Henderson, Nev., a three-story, 138,000-square-foot senior facility. Bernards' specialty is climbing telecommunication towers, assessing roof top installations for wireless carriers and providing evaluation reports for various towers in and around the state.

CG Engineering provides civil and structural engineering and currently employs 15 engineers, drafters and administrative staff in their Edmonds office. CG Engineering is located in Edmonds and provides civil and structural engineering services throughout the western states and Alaska.

Elliott Bay Design Group added Eric Tally as senior designer and Michael Johnson as computer systems administrator. Liz White earned her professional engineering license in naval architecture and marine engineering. Tally has 16 years of pipe system construction and design experience and is designing a firemain system for a Seattle police boat. Johnson has 15 years of experience in information technology. He was a software test engineer at Microsoft and will maintain and upgrade computer systems and networking hardware. White supports design of a 255-foot, double-ended passenger and vehicle ferry for The Steamship Authority.

Core Design added Jim Morin as project engineer. Morin has worked on the Mercer Island portion of Interstate 90 for the Washington State Department of Transportation and on the U.S. Navy's facility retrofit for Sub Base Bangor. He has also worked on private projects, including the first four phases of the city of Mill Creek, Issaquah Highlands and Ashley Park in Fife.

HBB Mechanical Engineers

Terry Gatlin joined HBB Mechanical Engineers as a project engineer. Gatlin is working on Kingston High School for Kitsap School District, a bookstore for Edmonds Community College and renovation of Rainier Hall for Everett Community College. HBB is a Seattle-based firm that provides mechanical engineering services for architects, school districts, colleges, universities and local governments.

Westmar Consultants Corp. added Jenny Carlson to its Portland office. Carlson is a project engineer with 20 years of experience in heavy industrial and marine construction projects. She is working on the Port of Portland's Terminal 6 container berth. Past projects include design of the Port of Kalama's north port marine terminal wharf. Westmar provides engineering services for industrial, marine and material handling construction projects. It has offices in Kirkland, as well as Kitimat and Vancouver, B.C.

Sparling added project engineer Daniel Botieff to its Portland office. Katherine Norris is an administrative assistant. Botieff designs power, lighting and low voltage systems for health care, higher education facilities, museums and libraries. Current projects include a medical center and emergency department expansion, and a medical center remodel. Seattle-based Sparling is an electrical engineering and technology consulting firm.

McLelland J. Smith has joined KPFF Consulting Engineers. He has 25 years of experience, including 18 years at Earth Tech in Honolulu and Bellevue. Smith will focus on water and wastewater work. Smith works with private owners and public agencies including the Port of Seattle, King County and the city of Seattle. Work has included utilities, water and wastewater projects. He worked on treatment plant and pump station rehabilitations in Hawaii. KPFF is a civil and structural engineering firm with 600 employees around the country. It has offices in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver and St. Louis.

Hadley Green Creates

Seattle marketing communications agency Hadley Green Creates named John Rubino managing director. Rubino will work on client service, finance and operations. He managed global branding and graphic design at the Seattle architecture and design firm NBBJ, and was also with the Seattle office of Landor Associates for 10 years.
