Seattle-based architects and landscape architects Jones & Jones named Dave Matthews senior associate. Matthews has 30 years of experience in design and construction of hospitality, public and commercial projects. He will work on project management of zoos, visitor centers and museums.

ECS Engineering promoted Brian Ziesmer to vice president. Ziesmer oversees projects in central and eastern Washington. ECS Engineering has offices in Bothell and Wenatchee. The company provides electrical and control systems engineering services to architects, engineers, and private and public sector clients.

Seattle's Emick Howard & Seibert added three to its staff. King Choi is a project manager and architect. Ki Nam and Tyler Eschmeyer are intern architects. Choi has 15 years of architectural experience on commercial and retail projects. Nam graduated with a bachelor's in architecture from Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea. Eschmeyer has worked on elementary schools and a high school.

Emick Howard & Seibert provides retail planning, architecture and interior design services to financial and corporate clients around the country.

David Evans and Associates

David Evans and Associates recently named Debra A. Seeman project manager for the Puget Sound region. Seeman has 11 years of experience in construction management and design of traffic signals, roadways and street lighting.

Seeman is working on stormwater facilities design projects for the cities of Fife and Gig Harbor. She has also provided construction management services for transportation projects in Lakewood and Vancouver.

Jay

GeoEngineers added Shelly R. Jay as an environmental scientist. Jay has 14 years of environmental experience and has done more than 1,000 environmental studies in Snohomish County and surrounding areas. Jay will work on wetland delineations and wildlife studies, and prepare mitigation plans and critical areas reports.

Architects BCRA has expanded its staff and added structural engineering services, which will be headed by structural engineer Wilson Hu. Hu was a structural engineer with KPFF Consulting Engineers.

The firm added senior architect James Wolch and architect Aarón Martinez. Wolch was a project manager at Krei Architecture/Merritt+Pardini. Martinez was a project coordinator with Parkhill Ivins Architects in Denver.

Solomon

Keri Adams-Lee is a land use planner. Rose Geiger is a civil engineering technician. Adams-Lee was a land use planner at Reid Middleton and an associate faculty member in the GIS curriculum at Shoreline Community College. Geiger drafted construction documents for Starbucks stores in North America.

Dave Newkirk was named military projects coordinator and will focus on marketing efforts for military clients. Julie Solomon is a studio administrator.

Architects BCRA is based in downtown Tacoma and does land-use planning, sustainable design, structural engineering, civil engineering and interior design.

Emick Howard & Seibert added project architect Grace Robinson, interior designers Anna Lovell and and intern Andres Mazry. Lily Tsay is an interior designer and Sandra Williams will work on CAD and 3D modeling. Robinson has 20 years' experience in architectural design, planning and construction. Lovell earned an degree from Sveg Gymnasium in Sveg, Sweden. Mazry will prepare drawings and specifications. Tsay worked on the Tapei branch of the Bank of America. Williams has worked on University of Washington projects.

Robert W. Thorpe & Associates

Seattle-based planning and landscape architecture firm Robert W. Thorpe & Associates promoted several on its staff.

Jennifer Dischinger and Joshua Beard are associates and will work as project managers for landscape and permitting projects. Albert Torrico is a planning manager for environmental documentations. Barbara Baker was promoted to permit planner. Diana Paulson is administrative assistant to the president.

The firm added planning intern Karl Otterstrom and landscape intern Lindsay Diallo. Stephen Speidel is a vice president and board member.
