Five Gensler designers recently received LEED accreditation. They are:
Linda Moriarty, managing director principal;
Sidney Scarboro, senior associate;
Chad Yoshinobu, senior associate;
Susana Covarrubias-Bunster, associate;
Patrick DiStefano, a Gensler architect since 2003. Additionally, several LEED accredited professionals have recently joined Gensler as designers.
Emily Smith has a broad range of experience including corporate, health care, hospitality and commercial architecture.
Mandy Callaway is an interior designer whose experience includes corporate interiors, law offices, retail, municipal and government work.
Maria Teresa Mendez has experience with concept development, program management, space planning, furniture and finish selection, construction documentation, and metrics and standards analysis.

Nate Schwab, structural engineer, has been named an associate at KPFF Consulting Engineers. Schwab is working on the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Ore. Other projects include the Public Health Sciences Building, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Safeco facilities throughout the United States.

Robert W. Sargent recently received his master's in civil engineering from the University of Washington. Zipper Zeman provides geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting and engineering geology services, with offices in Lynnwood, Seattle and Tacoma.

Ching does transportation planning and McDonald works on construction management. The company named Benedict as resident engineer in the Bellevue office. Matthew Lambert, who has seven years of experience in theatre design engineering and is working on a remodel of Gig Harbor High School's auditorium and a project at Hanford High School. SSA also added
Dawn Nelson to work on theater specifications at Aberdeen High School and Ridgeline Middle School. The company's other services are in audio/visual design, and theater design and planning.
Golden, Colo.-based Lachel Felice & Associates added Mark Rohrbach, an engineer with five years of experience in engineering and site assessment. Rohrbach is an expert in deep foundations and earth retaining systems, and was also recently appointed a second lieutenant in the U.S. Reserve Army.
Tim Kovacs, the firm's expert in sonic logging testing, recently earned certification as a professional engineer in Washington. Lachel Felice specializes in tunnel design and drilled shaft design, with a local office in Kirkland.
Planning, architecture, design and engineering Otak added engineers and architects to its offices in the West to expand public sector work. Civil engineer Windi Shapley is doing infrastructure projects in the Kirkland office, drawing on experience managing capital improvement projects and inspections. Land development specialist Brian Nigg is a senior engineer at Otak's Lake Oswego headquarters. Dan Gormley is a business development director for the public services group. Project manager Donald Atwood focuses on roadway design and stormwater management in the company's Tempe, Ariz., office. Landscape architectLindsey Utter works on wetland treatment systems from the Carbondale, Colo., office.
Bellevue structural engineering firm Cary Kopczynski & Co. added quality assurance manager Ed Palmer and administrative assistant Susanne Lewis. Cary Kopczynski does structural engineering for buildings and parking structures. Palmer will oversee estimating and review designs. Lewis will manage correspondence and help the engineering staff.
