Portland-based Opsis Architecture promoted
Randall Heeb and
Jeff Stern to senior associate architects, and
Carol Garner to marketing director. Heeb has 16 years of experience on education, civic and retail facilities; and at Opsis is overseeing development of a performing arts center at Lower Columbia College. Garner has 15 years of experience, including work for Portland design firms SRG Partnership and Fletcher Farr Ayotte.
Architects Adam Christie and Jason Miller were promoted to associates. Christie has 10 years of experience in educational, cultural and commercial projects. Miller is working on an $8 million aquatic center in Bend, Ore.
Jonathan Bolch, Paul Kinley and John Shorb are new staff architects. Bolch was a project architect at Schwartz/Silver Architects in Boston. His focus at Opsis is an interactive learning center at Boise State University. Kinley worked on education projects at Thomas Hacker Architects. Shorb was a volunteer lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Planning at the University of Botswana, and also worked there with KMM Architects

Tim Smith and
Joseph C. Pinzone principals. Smith will direct urban design and planning. He is creating a master plan for a campus in Clackamas County and a sustainable watershed plan for Yellowhawk Corridor for Walla Walla. Pinzone will direct construction administration and staff development, and is working on renovations at the Portland Art Museum and the State of Oregon Justice Building in Salem.

Civil engineering and landscape architecture firm SvR Design Co. recently added
Melanie Davies as a senior landscape architect. Davies has more than 20 years of experience in site planning and design. She will work on a water quality project at Thornton Creek and street improvements.
Monica Lindmark was promoted to marketing coordinator, and will lead the Web site redesign. She has five years of experience with the company.

Zervas was founded in Bellingham and provides architecture and interiors services. The company focuses on public, commercial, multi-family and custom residential projects.
