Gensler added Erica Rathbone, Michael Eliason, Candy Wang and David Lee to the Seattle office. Rathbone has managed interior projects for Bank of America in Seattle, Portland and Spokane. Eliason has design/build experience, and spent a year working for Pfeifer_Roser_Kuhn Architekten in Freiburg, Germany, where he worked on sustainable projects. At Gensler he is working on the Century Square lobby renovation. Wang has experience in interior design and architecture for corporate, residential and retail clients. She will be working on Safeco and Equity Office Properties projects. Lee joined Gensler Seattle as a project manager, bringing 17 years of experience in project and construction management. He will be supporting several Gensler teams, including projects for the House of Blues, Century Square lobby renovation and Snoqualmie City Hall.

Studio Meng Strazzara recently added Eric Becker as director of project management; intern architects Steve Lambie and Andrew Yoder; Luis Ramirez, CAD drafter/intern; Rebecca Rowland, administrative assistant; and Pierce Sinnott, technical architect. Lesley Luttrell was promoted to project manager. Becker will help in the design and construction of the Daniel J. Evans Library Phase II modernization at The Evergreen State College.

Lambie is working on feasibility studies, and mixed-use and condominium projects. Ramirez is on the design team for the Daniel J. Evans Library Phase II modernization. Rowland has a background in administrative and marketing support. Sinnott will work in the educational studio working on the Marysville School District's new secondary options campus. Yoder is working on condominium projects, including 1114 Lakeview Blvd. E. and 3911 First Ave. N.E. Luttrell was recently promoted and will be working with Studio Meng Strazzara and sister firm Meng Analysis, providing coordination and oversight for projects with Northshore and Lake Washington school districts.

Ruth Olvido joined GGLO as an interior designer. She is working on the Casa Munras historic hotel renovation in Monterey, Calif. Anne Gustavson joined as an architectural intern. She is working on the Port Gardner Wharf project in Everett. Patrick Mahoney joined as an architectural designer and is working on Port Gardner Wharf. Yong Sun Lee is an architectural designer. She is working on the Juanita Village Phase II in Kirkland. Lydia Heard is a planner/urban designer, who is working on Kenmore Village by the Lake and the Angwin Ecovillage project in Angwin, Calif. Rudy Young is an architect. He is working on Burien Town Square in Burien.

DLR Group has added the following members to its architecture, engineering, planning and interiors team: Keri DeTore, Adrianne Serroels, Britt East, Margot van Swearingen, Gene Hanson and Marsha Johnson. Issa Qandeel and Shannon Soady were promoted to senior associate. Ben Blakeman, Ola Jarvegren, Dan Murray, Surrander Naganathan, Mark Parker, David Reid, Annette Rogers, Martha Rowland and Shazad Uppal were promoted to associate.

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership named the following as new associate partners: John Barton, Chris Frost, David Grant, Connie Hollaway, Cristian Perez, Chris Peterson and Taka Soga. New associates are: Fiona Booth, Ryan Cheng, Bob Cole, Colleen James, Gordon Metzger, Michelle Mills, Kim Myran, Ron Pike, Sara Satterlee, Ania Stein, Erin Swain and Ruth Timmons. Among the firm’s recent projects are the new St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Expansion on Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s campus in Seattle and the South Lake Union streetcar.

Mahlum Architects

Mahlum Architects has added two associates in its Seattle office: Maureen O'Leary and Ed Fajardo. O'Leary was previously senior associate at Sasaki Associates Planning & Design in San Francisco. Her most recent project was the Evergreen Valley College Fine Arts Center, which is seeking a LEED silver rating. Fajardo was previously with WCIT Architecture in Honolulu, where he was project manager for the Kauai Lagoons Resort, a $1.2 billion condo, timeshare and townhome development.

Freiheit & Ho Architects

Freiheit & Ho Architects hired Sonny Vinberg as an associate. His previous work experience includes managing Native American projects such as casinos, hotels, conference centers, retail and commercial office projects.

Walker Macy

Walker Macy hired Derek Budzik as IT/CAD manager. He was an intern and network administrator for the University of Oregon's Center for Advanced Technology in Education, where he specialized in helping students with learning disabilities, and providing technological solutions for local high school students.

Tiscareno Associates

Tiscareno Associates hired architect Jim Cade as a principal. With 29 years experience, Cade was a principal at LMN Architects. He has been project manager on Benaroya Hall, Swedish Medical Center's 1101 Office Tower, Norm Dicks Government Center and the Seattle Ferry Terminal long-term development plan. At Tiscareno Associates, he will develop technical standards, oversee project delivery and serve as a staff mentor.

Hammond Collier Wade Livingstone

Hammond Collier Wade Livingstone added Anne Carr, Jon Hills, Ernie Moon and Dan Goetz to the Wenatchee office. Carr, a project engineer, will work in the Water Resources Department, assisting with comprehensive and capital facilities planning and cost estimating. Moon, a materials testing technician, will provide concrete, soils, asphalt, grout and mortar testing, as well as reinforcing steel inspection. Hills, a materials technician, will provide concrete, soils and asphalt testing. Goetz, a CAD operator, will provide drafting support.

MulvannyG2 Architecture

MulvannyG2 Architecture hired Peng Liew as principal of its international group in Bellevue, with a regional office in Shanghai. He will be technical lead for production and design teams in both offices. The group designs retail, corporate, residential high-rise, mixed-use and hospitality projects in Asia and the Middle East. Its recent activities include Qingdao Technological University, a 217-acre campus in Qingdao, China, and an island resort in Bahrain. The group is doing urban planning for sections of Beijing, China, to support the Summer Olympics in 2008.
