RoseWater Engineering

RoseWater Engineering hired Marc Schulte, a civil engineer with eight years of experience in water resources and hydrology. His expertise includes hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater quality, floodplain management, drainage analysis and sediment transport. Schulte will join the Alaskan Way Viaduct utility design team, as well as the firm's other water resources, planning and design projects.

Berger/ABAM

Gunseli Yeliz Firat has joined Berger/ABAM Engineers' Federal Way office. Firat has a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Purdue University. Her area of expertise is the behavior of reinforced concrete and steel structures, and earthquake engineering. Jessica Aguilar has joined as a civil engineer at the company's Seattle office. She has four years of professional experience in civil engineering, including roadway design, stormwater analysis and utility design. Her recent projects include the state Route 539 roadway improvements for WSDOT and Sammamish's new city hall. Aguilar will support Berger/ABAM's I-5/SR 161/SR 18 Triangle Improvements near Federal Way for WSDOT and the SR 520 overpass for the city of Redmond.

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects named Robert (Bob) Zimmerman managing partner of the Seattle office. Zimmerman will oversee technical design, project delivery and overall management. He moved from ZGF's Portland office where he worked for 13 years as principal and project architect. Before that, he worked in ZGF's Seattle office for five years. During his 20-years at ZGF, Zimmerman worked on the Bellevue Regional Library, Portland International Airport, Microsoft's Redmond West Campus and the California Science Center in Los Angeles. In recent years, he has been responsible for much of ZGF's international work, including U.S. consulates and embassies in Turkey, South Africa, Algeria, Switzerland and Mexico, in addition to projects in China. He is joining Seattle Partners Allyn Stellmacher, who oversees design for the office, and Dan Huberty, who manages major projects and firm-wide technical quality assurance.

TVA Architects

TVA Architects promoted three associates to principal, bringing the number of firm principals to five. The promotions are John Heili, Montgomery J. Hill and R.J. Johnson. Heili has been at TVA Architects for 13 years, serving as a project architect and project manager on recreational facilities, multiplex cinemas, commercial/office buildings and multi-family housing. Current work includes the EVO Condominium Tower in downtown Los Angeles. Hill has spent the last five years as an associate with significant responsibility for many of the firm's most prominent designs. Recent work includes the LAIKA animation campus in Tualatin, Ore., the 12,500-seat basketball arena at the University of Oregon and the South Figueroa Condominium Towers in Los Angeles. Johnson has been with the firm for more than 11 years, serving as an associate for the last six. His experience includes government facilities, performing arts centers, corporate offices, commercial high-rise, mixed-use, educational facilities, sports complex design and site design/development.

Elcon Associates

Elcon Associates promoted Dimitri Siaterlis to branch manager of the Seattle office. Siaterlis joined the firm in 1985. Siaterlis worked on electrical design of the Bellevue Transit Center, Port of Everett Rail/Barge Facility and Coast Guard Administration Building. Other projects include controls design for the Seattle Center Monorail, the Issaquah Transit Center, Federal Way Transit Center and the Woodland Park Zoo West parking garage.

Gustafson Guthrie Nichol

Gustafson Guthrie Nichol Ltd. hired Keith McPeters as a principal. McPeters has 20 years of experience in architecture and landscape architecture. His background includes public landscapes, urban designs, and campus and master plans. McPeters worked for Olin Partnership Landscape Architecture and Urban Design in Philadelphia. GGN also hired Jennifer Britton, Theresa Neylon and Jitesh Malik as designers. Rodrigo Abela was promoted to principal, and new associates are Ian Horton, Yi-Chun Lin Stanley, David Nelson, Lynda Olson, Emily Pizzuto, Cass Salzwedel and Grant Stewart.

Ridolfi

Ridolfi recently promoted Andy Nicholls to senior project manager. He has worked for Ridolfi since 2001. He is working on the cleanup and restoration of former military sites in the Northwest. As a hydrogeologist, Nicholls provided technical services for Hansville Landfill, and hazardous waste removal technical services on Fidalgo Island. He has also provided support on the Commencement Bay Restoration project. He is a member of the Northwest Geological Society.

DLR Group

DLR Group added nine staff members: architects Lito Panida and Rick Rajchel; architectural designers Brian Arndt and Paul Clark; electrical engineer Daryl Johns; interior designer Shabnam Sadoughian; marketing professional Denise Elliot; project administrator Eon Smith; and in accounting, Renown Sylvester.
