Kurt Gahnberg, a principal with The Transpo Group, as president of the association. Gahnberg has more than 26 years of experience in transportation planning and has been an active member in ACEC of Washington since 1997. Serving on the board with Gahnberg are: president-elect

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects has added six new employees to its design team. New associate
Sean C. Kendig has more than 12 years of experience and has worked at numerous firms including TVS Interiors, The Environments Group and spAce.
Denise Sico has joined the interiors group as an associate. Prior to joining the firm she worked at SkB in Seattle as a senior interior designer and project manager, and worked at Callison Architecture for 10 years.
Marc Chavez has joined as a specifications writer and associate partner. Chavez worked as an independent specifications consultant on projects including the new Sea-Tac Air Traffic Control Tower. Prior to his career in architecture, he was an archaeologist.
Greg Putney has transferred from the company's Los Angeles office as an associate partner. He is currently working on the Fifth and Columbia Tower project.
Adrienne Watkins has joined the architectural group and is also working on Fifth and Columbia. She recently graduated from UC Berkeley in architecture.

Ritchhart has more than 30 years of experience in architecture and design. David Akiyama and Audrey Bateman have joined the Landscape Architecture Studio. Dylan Glosecki is working with the team on a mixed-use project in West Seattle. Sheldon Green joins the company for a mixed-use project in Green Lake. Sarah Hill is helping with the East Link Conceptual Engineering and will work on the Anacortes Multimodal Terminal later this summer. Eric Murphy contributes to multiple mixed-use projects in Interbay. Sean Sullivan is contributing to several large mixed-use projects. Richard Tran joins to work on a mixed-use project in Green Lake. Dana Weiss joins the Landscape Architect Studio. Andrew Wilbur joins Hewitt as receptionist and administrative assistant.
Integrus Architecture has hired two staffers.
David Van Galen joins the company as a lead designer for the Seattle office. Van Galen has more than 20 years of experience in master planning and design of large and complex projects. Past projects include the Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, and the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group Headquarters Building.
Brad Doll joins as an intern architect with experience in architecture, computer graphics and rendering design.

SERA Architects has promoted 11 new associates. They are
Stuart Colby, Keith Fugate, Gary Golla, Helen Hotchkiss, Tina Keller, Eric Philps, Tim Richard, Eric Ridenour, Jim Rileyhas, Gregg Sanders and
John Smith, who has been at SERA for 13 years. The firm has also promoted three new associate principals.
Clark Brockman has been with SERA for six years,
Natasha Koiv has been with SERA for 22 years and
Paul Jeffreys has been with SERA for nine years.
Fletcher Farr Ayotte has made two promotions.
Troy Ainsworth has been with the company since 1992 and has been promoted from senior project manager to Principal. Ainsworth has had a primary focus on libraries and higher education planning and design. He is currently leading the design teams for the new Public Library and Justice Center in Lebanon, Ore., the rehabilitation and expansion of the Richland Public Library in Richland, and a new branch library in Boise, Idaho.
Karen Niemi has been with the firm since 2005 and has been named partner. Niemi has experience in the development of design solutions for commercial, public, residential and higher education clients. She is the recipient of many regional and national design awards, including 12 IIDA Honor Awards.
Pirscher Architects has promoted
Bryan Borchers from senior associate to vice-president and partner of the architectural firm. Borchers has nine years of architectural and management experience and has been with the company since 1998.
Coffman Engineers has added
Rob Lawson to the Seattle office as a structural engineer. Lawson has an educational background in steel, concrete, masonry and timber design. He also has six months of experience in steel and concrete design of industrial structures.
Core Design has promoted Lafe B. Hermansen to director of planning services.
GeoEngineers has hired John Herzog for the environmental team in the company's Seattle office. Herzog is an expert in nearshore and waterfront cleanups and is a Ph. D. geologist and oceanographer. He has more than 13 years of experience in Puget Sound cleanup issues. He will join and help lead staff in the port and nearshore restoration and cleanup in the Pacific Northwest. The company has also hired Ku Hyun Kwon for the Spokane office as a Staff 1 geotechnical engineer. He recently graduated with his masters in civil engineering with a geotechnical emphasis from Brigham Young University.
