Mick Monken has joined Perteet as a senior project manager in the transportation design group. Monken has more than two decades of public engineering experience. He was most recently public works director for the city of Woodinville, where he secured grants to cover 50 percent of the Hollywood Roundabouts project.
ESM promoted
Jeremy Febus to principal and
Kristal Greenhaw to associate. Febus has 10 years of experience and is overseeing engineering in the Bothell office. He has been closely involved in the entitlement phase, preliminary plats, and CIP roadway and utility projects on Snoqualmie Ridge II. Greenhaw has 13 years of experience and her past projects include Suncadia, Alderwood Parkway Retail and Snohomish County FCC.
Amanda Schweickert joined Berger/ABAM Engineers in its Federal Way office. Schweickert holds a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of Arizona. Her background includes design of buildings, historic restoration and transportation.

Bird has worked on high-end residential and design/build projects. He is working on Central Washington University’s new Student Village South and the Broadway on Broadway mixed-use project. Hardan is working on Robert Frost Elementary School. Struble is working on housing design for Student Village South.
Scott deMers was promoted to president at Systems Interface. DeMers joined Systems Interface in 1990 and was previously vice president of engineering. Former president and owner
Thoresen Bussinger will remain at the company working on engineering and customer relationships.
Robert Schommer is moving up from vice president of sales to vice president. Schommer has been with Systems Interface for 14 years and specializes in working with clients in the municipal segment.
Curt Plett was promoted to engineering manager. Plett has been with Systems Interface for 16 years.

Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen promoted three staff architects to associates:
Ellen Cecil, Jim Friesz and
Dan Wilson. Cecil has been with OSKA since 1996, managing private and public projects. She was project manager for Delta Shelter, a Mazama cabin that has won seven awards, including a 2008 AIA National Honor Award. Friesz started at the firm as an intern in 1993. He worked on buildings at Whatcom Community College. Friesz also worked on the Frye Art Museum and is working on a project at 1111 E. Pike St. Wilson has been with OSKA for seven years, working on the Artist's Studio and Horizon at Semiahmoo, a 200-acre residential project.
Jones & Jones Architects + Landscape Architects + Planners promoted three associates to senior associates.
Keith Bates was project landscape architect for the Northwest Native Canoe House on South Lake Union, the Hanford Reach National Monument Heritage and Visitors Center in Richland, and project manager for the Lions of Africa Exhibit at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Greg Murphy worked on the Washington State Parks Green Vision Master Plan and the Tropical America exhibit at Miami Metrozoo in Florida.
Osama Quota worked on the Northwest Native Canoe House, the Confluence Project Pedestrian Land Bridge in Vancouver and the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum in Palm Springs, Calif.

BLRB Architects promoted two employees to associates, one to senior associate and two to associate principals. Doug DuCharme and Kurt Cross were promoted to associates. DuCharme was formerly the principal-in-charge of educational facility design with Shive-Hattery in Iowa City and has 28 years of experience. Cross has been at BLRB since 1993 and has more than 16 years of experience. Bob Lindstrom was promoted to senior associate. Lindstrom joined BLRB in 1997 and has 18 years of architectural experience. He is working on the new Lakeridge Middle School for the Sumner School District. Ron Harpel and Kit Burns were promoted to associate principals. Harpel is working on the replacement of Curtis Junior High School for University Place School District. Burns worked on the Olympia High School addition and modernization project. Burns is working on Hamilton Middle School for Seattle Public Schools and the Panther Lake Elementary School replacement for the Kent School District.
Cary Kopczynski & Co. hired Waleed Khalid as a senior engineer. Khalid has more than nine years of structural engineering experience and is working on the Lincoln Square expansion in Bellevue.
