Integrus Architecture promoted C. Rich Siddons to senior associate. Siddons has specialized in security systems design for Integrus Architecture since 1983. His recent projects include the King County Jail renovation, the Kapolei Juvenile Detention Facility in Hawaii and the Nome Public Safety Building in Alaska. The firm also promoted David VanGalen, Theresa Daniel and Becky Barnhart to associates. VanGalen's 23-year career includes civic and educational projects, including the Washington State University Intercollegiate College of Nursing at the Riverpoint Campus in Spokane. Daniel has more than 12 years of experience. Her recent projects include Bellevue's Sherwood Forest Elementary School and the Edmonds School District Service Center. Barnhart's recent projects include the Site 52 Elementary for the Lake Washington School District, WSU Intercollegiate College of Nursing in Spokane, and a U.S. Embassy Compound in Algeria. The firm also promoted Marcine Herron to senior business development and marketing coordinator. Since joining Integrus in 2005 as marketing coordinator, Herron has helped lead the firm's marketing and business development efforts in higher education, civic, K-12, commercial, government and criminal justice projects.

Schacht Aslani Architects promoted Eric Aman, Jean-Claude Letourneau and Christopher Taucher to associates. Aman was project manager for the Douglass-Truth library renovation and addition. He is working on the new Integrated Resource Center for North Seattle Community College. Letourneau is managing construction for the library media center, and schematic design of a new business and humanities building, both for Peninsula College. Taucher is wrapping up construction for renovation of the visual communications department and starting renovation of Edison North, both for Seattle Central Community College.

BLRB Architects hired Scott Waytashek in construction administration and Ken Brouwers as construction manager. With 24 years of experience, Waytashek works primarily in education and health care, with a total project volume of more than $750 million. Brouwers has more than 30 years of experience. His primary focus in the last 15 years has been in educational and medical environments. He is working as construction manager of a new building at Puyallup High School.

Cannon Design

Yao
Cannon Design hired Howard Yao in its San Francisco office as a senior associate. Yao has more than 13 years of experience and has managed corporate, retail, health care and institutional projects. His projects include the Coca-Cola Pavilion in Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games; the 500 Terry Francois office building in San Francisco; St. Joseph Cancer Center and Medical Office Building in Orange, Calif.; and the California Academy of Science in San Francisco.

MacKay & Sposito

The civil engineering firm MacKay & Sposito hired Jim Jacks in its business development team. Jacks previously worked as Southwest Washington public liaison officer for Gov. Chris Gregoire. Jacks also worked for the city of Vancouver in the city manager's office as the citizen advocate for more than four years. The firm has offices in Vancouver, Tri-Cities and Wilsonville, Ore.

Carl Einberger has joined Golder Associates as a senior consultant in hydrogeology. Einberger has more than 20 years of experience working on water resource issues in the Pacific Northwest. He is on the board of directors of the Washington State Section of the American Water Resources Association.

Miller|Hull Partnership has promoted several people. Scott Wolf, Sian Roberts and Ron Rochon have been promoted to partner. Wolf has 23 years of experience and is partner in charge of the LOTT Laboratory and Administration Building, as well as the Hands on Children's Museum, both in Olympia. Roberts has 18 years of experience and is serving as partner in charge on the Ft. Vancouver Regional Library, and is lead designer on the King County Library System's five design-build branch libraries. Rochon has been with Miller|Hull for eight years and is working on the UC San Diego Structural Materials & Engineering Building and the Art & Architecture addition at the University of Michigan. Margaret Sprug, Ruth Coates and Mike Jobes have been promoted to principal. Sprug, with 18 years of experience, is working on two projects for Cascadia Community College: the Center for Global Learning and The Arts, and the Wetlands Interpretive Center. Coates joined Miller|Hull eight years ago and is project manager on the Ft. Vancouver Regional Library and the five libraries for King County. She was also project manager on the Northgate Library project, completed in 2007. Jobes has 13 years of experience and is the lead designer on the Edgewood City Hall, which is now in construction. The firm also promoted Rob Misel to associate, and Alice Cho Snyder was hired as finance director. Misel has 19 years of experience and is project manager on a new science building for Whitworth University in Spokane. Misel served as project manager for construction on the Kitsap County Administration Building, completed in 2007. Snyder has more than 20 years of experience as a C.P.A.

MulvannyG2 Architecture promoted David Glassman, Erik Klepp, Greg Carpenter, Matthew Goelzer, and Frank Balice to principal in its Bellevue office. Glassman will act as a technical lead for MulvannyG2's Corporate Mixed-Use and Retail Environment Teams. Glassman has more than 28 years of experience in architecture and project management. He is overseeing Escala condo tower in Seattle, and Esplanade condominium in Tacoma. Klepp will focus on project delivery and resource collaboration. Klepp has more than 30 years of architectural and construction experience in condominium, retail, restaurants and mixed-use projects. He is working on a condominium project at Eighth Avenue and Seneca Street in Seattle. Carpenter will work as a market lead for the International Group. Carpenter has 25 years of experience on mixed-use, office, retail and hospitality projects around the world. Past projects include the Huawei Beijing Environmental Technology Park, a 2.2 million-square-foot R&D center in Beijing. Goelzer will be a team lead for the Costco southern division and Mexico. Goelzer has 12 years of experience in retail, food process facilities and industrial projects. Balice will work as the technical design lead responsible for risk management, quality assurance and training on the Costco account. Balice has more than 36 years of experience and the firm says he has “played a valuable role” on the Costco account since joining MulvannyG2 architecture.

DLR Group

DLR Group has added four new professionals to its integrated design practice: Andrew Long, mechanical designer; Julio Mendez, architectural designer; and Kai White, architectural designer. Karen Montovino also returns to the firm, focusing on facility planning and business development for Pacific Northwest educational projects.
