Sclater Partners Architects promoted David Reddish to associate principal and hired project manager Pragnesh Parikh and two new interns, Katherine Boland and Eric Brunt. Reddish joined the firm in 2004 and has 23 years of experience. His focus is on mixed-use, hotel and multi-family residential projects including the Lincoln Square expansion and a high-rise office in downtown Bellevue. Parikh is working on a large multi-family project in Seattle and a new office building in Bellevue. Boland is working on retail projects and Brunt is working on commercial projects.

Giffin Bolte Jurgens

Giffin Bolte Jurgens of Portland hired Patti Miles as a senior project manager, David Henry as a senior architectural designer and Patrick Sullivan as an intern architect. Miles has more than 20 years of experience and specializes in health care design. Her past projects include the Medical Surgery Unit for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill., and the Akron Clinic for Akron Medical Center in Ohio. Miles is working on projects for Mulitcare Medical Systems of Tacoma. Henry has more than 35 years of experience with a focus on hospitals, laboratories, acoustical design and construction observation. His past projects include Community Hospital in Powell, Wyo., the Presbyterian Saint Luke's Hospital in Denver and a forensic laboratory in Colorado. He is working on projects for Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Tacoma General Hospital and Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Sullivan served as an intern with Giffin Bolte Jurgens for the past three summers before joining the firm in June. He is working on projects at Providence St. Peter.

Johnson Braund Design Group

Johnson Braund Design Group appointed Alan Wyatt to direct the company's landscape architecture studio. Wyatt has more than 28 years of experience and his past projects include the 1996 Summer Olympic hockey venue and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Park, both in Atlanta. Wyatt is registered in seven states.

Farallon Consulting

Farallon Consulting, an environmental consulting firm with offices in Issaquah and Bellingham, hired Javan Ruark to its Geology and Hydrogeology Group. As a staff geologist, Ruark will conduct soil and groundwater sampling and data collection, participate in monitoring well installations and support excavation activities at work sites throughout the state.

Wood Harbinger of Bellevue elected Bob Axley as president and CEO. Jerry Williams, current president, will continue as chairman of the board. Jim Jenkins was elected corporate vice president and Bill States was elected to serve on the board of directors. Axley has served as executive vice president for five years and has been with the company for 29 years. He has managed many of the firm's largest projects and is a board member for the Washington Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies. Williams has more than 40 years of experience, including five years as Wood Harbinger's president. States has been a principal engineer at Wood Harbinger since 2003 and has more than 28 years of experience in industrial systems design and project management.

PAE Consulting Engineers of Portland promoted Jeff Becksfort, Robert Smith and Nedzib Biberic to project engineers. Becksfort is a mechanical engineer who also works in commissioning and energy modeling. His projects include the Port of Portland's new headquarters, the Housing Authority of Portland's Resource Access Center and the OSU Energy Center in Corvallis. An electrical engineer, Smith is also a lighting designer with experience in daylight modeling and lighting commissioning. His recent work includes the Nike Child Development Center and a University of Portland residence hall. Biberic, a mechanical engineer, is working on the new Port of Portland headquarters, the UW Lewis Hall and Whitman College Science Building in Walla Walla. Biberic joined PAE three years ago.

Transportation Solutions, a Redmond-based transportation engineering firm, hired Kathy Davis, Leif Kohler, Reshmi Kumari and Amol Kingaonkar as transportation engineers. Davis is experienced in traffic simulation modeling, parking demand and sufficiency issues, and pedestrian safety. She is working on a parking study for Seattle Pacific University and assessment of traffic control for McEvoy Condemnation. Kohler performs traffic impact analysis, trip generation studies and master plan collaborations. His projects include the Seattle University master plan update and the proposed Suncadia #4 Mine neighborhood development. Kumari's area of expertise is design projects. She is working on channelization and signal design for Whidbey Island Bank and Seattle Costco. Kingaonkar's experience includes traffic impact analysis, trip generation and distribution modeling, and parking studies. His current projects include Westfield Town Center, the Issaquah Costco garage and Rosehill Shopping Center.

Farallon Consulting

Farallon Consulting, an environmental consulting firm with offices in Issaquah and Bellingham, hired Heidi M. Fischer as staff engineer. An engineer-in-training, Fischer has a background in environmental audits and compliance. She is working on site closures, providing system support for remedial actions and participating in other environmental projects in the state.
