Triad Associates promoted Travis Bradley, Leslie Ryan, Jill Shriver and Kim Trahan to associates. A former field survey crew member and party chief, Bradley is now a survey technician. He has been with Triad for four years. Both Ryan and Trahan are administrative assistants who have been with the company for about three years. Shriver is a marketing and communications specialist who joined Triad in January of 2007.

Sparling hired Steve Lynch as electrical project manager and Mark Martin as electrical project designer in the Portland office. Lynch specializes in health care, hospitality and office environments and is working on projects at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Allenmore Medical Center in Tacoma, and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. Martin has a background in electrical systems, lighting controls and power distribution. He is providing electrical design support for Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Legacy Salmon Creek in Vancouver and Washington State University-Vancouver's applied technology center.

Berger/ABAM Engineers hired Yuan Li in the Federal Way office. Li's experience includes seismic analysis and design of building bridge cranes. She is working on the AP1000 cask crane design project for Westinghouse Electric, including rated-load and seismic analysis, and structural design of a 300-ton auxiliary building cask handling bridge crane for the AP1000 nuclear power plant. The firm also hired Laila Cohagen as a civil engineer in the Federal Way office. Cohagen is working with the public works and transportation group on bridge load ratings for the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Murray, Smith & Associates, a consulting engineering firm specializing in public infrastructure, hired senior engineer John Nottingham in the Everett office. Nottingham is experienced in planning, analysis, design and construction management of wastewater and water infrastructure. He will be involved with municipal projects.

Kindel
Engineering and planning firm BHC Consultants hired Nick Kindel as associate planner, Marc Caldwell as senior CADD technician and Sarah Sifferman as administrative assistant. Kindel previously worked at BHC as an intern and recently returned to the firm after studying planning and adaptive reuse in the Netherlands. His experience includes comprehensive and subarea planning, downtown planning, annexation studies, GMA compliance, planning application review, development feasibility studies, GIS analysis and public meetings. Caldwell provides computer-aided drafting/design support to the BHC engineering group on wastewater, water and stormwater projects. Sifferman provides reception and administrative support to BHC's Seattle office.

GreenWorks

GreenWorks Landscape Architecture, a Portland firm focused on sustainable design, promoted Jason King and Robin Craig to senior associates. Brett Milligan, Alexandra Perove and Tim Strand were named associates. King has 15 years of experience with expertise in eco-roofs, sustainable housing, health care, institutional and recreational projects. His recent projects include the Columbia River Community Hospital, Asante Health System Courtyard, Canby Green Street and Independence Station. King also volunteers professional services for the Verde Native Plant Nursery, Ecoroofs Everywhere, Urban Water Works Board and the Portland Greenmap Project. Craig is working on a new Lane Community College Health and Wellness Facility, TriMet Light Rail Transit improvements, a new K-8 school and Gaston Parks Master Plan. Milligan is working on the Condit Dam Removal, Clean Water Services Low Impact Development Approaches Handbook and Portland Fire Station 18. Perove is working on The Dalles Riverfront Connections and systems planning for the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services. She has worked on urban riverfronts, recreation and urban design projects. Strand is a project manager and landscape designer. He is working on projects for Pendleton, as well as Clay Street Green Street and the Chambers Creek wastewater treatment facility.
