Interface Engineering employees Jeremy Dow, Mark O'Leary, Ted Schlanser, Matt Jones and Jason Mooney passed the professional engineering exam. Interface now has 40 professional engineers. The mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm has 180 employees in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Sacramento and Abu Dhabi.

EHS Design hired Bruce Cohen as a senior project manager, Florica Bates as an interior designer, and Rachael Aust as a librarian/design assistant. Cohen, an architect, has worked on health care, financial, educational, municipal and hospitality projects in the United States and Dubai. Bates has experience designing, programming and space planning for housing, hotels, health care, retail, schools and mixed-use facilities. Aust has a bachelor's in interior design and Spanish from Washington State University. EHS Design is a 40-person interior design and architecture firm in Seattle.

Landau Associates hired Paul Raymaker as a senior staff geologist, Robert Ludwig as a senior project engineer, Susan Dickerson as an intern geologist, Cindy Easterson as a marketing coordinator, Molly Linville as a senior project wildlife biologist, Lauren McIntire as a senior staff environmental engineer and Juliann Cooley as an administrative assistant/receptionist. Tracy Hannuksela joined the firm as human resource director and Chip Halbert returned to the Edmonds environmental services group to lead air permitting services after a two-year residency in India. Raymaker has experience in field investigation, analyses, data evaluation and report preparation. Ludwig, a civil engineer, has worked in hydrology, site development and design of utilities and roadways. Dickerson is doing field work, including soil, groundwater and sediment investigation. Easterson has 20 years in marketing. Linville has nine years of experience with wildlife and habitat surveys, refuge management plans, environmental assessments and environmental impact statements. McIntire has experience in stormwater basin modeling and design review. Hannuksela has 15 years in human resources. Halbert has been with the firm for 12 years. Landau is an environmental and geotechnical engineering, environmental permitting, and natural resource consulting firm with offices in Edmonds, Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, West Richland and Portland.

Shannon & Wilson

Shannon & Wilson hired Larry West as vice president, director of groundwater services and David Cline as an associate in the Seattle office. West has 37 years of experience in construction and architectural-engineering, with projects in the United States and overseas. Cline has 12 years experience in architectural-engineering, including in team leadership and project management. He was most recently with Tetra Tech and worked on projects in the western U.S. Shannon & Wilson provides geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting.

Johnston Architects

Sally Roth and Lauren Zerbey of Johnston Architects earned LEED BD+C certification and are now certified as sustainable building advisors.

The Miller|Hull Partnership

Hodges
Laurie Hodges joined The Miller|Hull Partnership as the new business development director and Robin Clewley was hired as communications director. Hodges has 10 years of experience in architecture and construction. She has done marketing, branding and business development for companies that include Turner Construction and BNBuilders. She is the chair of the marketing committee for the Northwest chapter of the Design Build Institute of America. Clewley has 13 years of experience in communications. She was recently public relations manager at WATG. Before that she was a publicist at Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door. She has written for Wired magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle. Miller|Hull specializes in public works buildings and houses.

Shugart Bates

Matthew Wasse joined Shugart Bates as a project architect with 12 years of experience. A University of Washington graduate with a master's of architecture, Wasse has skills in sustainable design and high performance residential buildings. He also is a certified passive house consultant.

EHS Design

Marshall
EHS Design promoted Mia Marshall to principal. Marshall has been with the firm seven years as senior project manager and interior designer. She has been a director since 2006. Over her 16-year career, Marshall has spearheaded projects for The Benaroya Co., HMS Host, Legacy Partners, Microsoft and the University of Washington. She has chaired the NAIOP Washington state chapter membership committee for the past three years, is a former president of the IIDA Northern Pacific chapter, and served on the IIDA International membership committee and IIDA International Foundation board of trustees. EHS Design is an interior design and architecture firm in Seattle, with projects and clients in North America.
