Integrus Architecture hired Dan Sasse as network administrator, Andy Robertson as an intern architect, Kathryn Fuller as a project architect, Katie Farnes as an interior designer and Vikki Hansen as a receptionist. Sasse has worked in IT roles over the years, including in his previous job with a local general contractor. Robertson graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's in architectural studies from Washington State University. Fuller earned bachelor's degrees in architecture and in architectural studies from WSU in 2002. Farnes graduated from WSU in 2010 with a bachelor's in interior design. Integrus provides architectural, planning, interior design, structural engineering and security design services.

ALSC Architects

Julie Van Wormer joined ALSC Architects as a business development specialist focusing on public relations and business development for the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, offices. Most recently she worked for a local engineering firm in a related role. She has 20-plus years in architectural and engineering marketing and business development. ALSC also hired David Buescher as an architectural intern. His projects include the Orient School remodel and addition, and the new East Spokane Water District headquarters. ALSC provides planning and design services.

HDR

HDR hired Shirley Marroquin to manage the water marketing program for Washington. Based in Bellevue, she is responsible for marketing planning, client liaison and client service management in Washington. Previously, she was unit manager for planning and asset management at King County Wastewater Treatment Division. She has managed the wastewater environmental planning program and led the state and national environmental policy act processes and Habitat Conservation Plan for Brightwater treatment plant. HDR is an architectural, engineering and consulting firm.

Glosten Associates

Lane
The Glosten Associates, a Seattle naval architecture and marine engineering consulting firm, hired Kenneth R. Lane as director of production services. His job is to enhance production design capabilities. He has 30 years of marine industry experience in vessel design. He has been a project manager and has experience in engineering firm management.

Callison

Callison hired Kathryn Mickel as a principal of commercial interiors as it expands that practice. Mickel will lead the new specialty interior design service, Monogram by Callison, and will work in the Seattle headquarters and its Scottsdale office. She had been managing partner of BBG-BBGM's Scottsdale office where she managed architects and interior designers and did business development. Her recent projects include JW Marriott Desert Ridge, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, the Grand Wailea in Maui, Hawaii, and The Carlyle in Minneapolis, Minn. Callison is an architecture and design firm with offices also in Beijing, Dallas, Dubai, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York and Shanghai.

Rice Fergus Miller

Jennifer Paige, an interior designer with Rice Fergus Miller, earned a National Council for Interior Designer Qualification certificate. Paige specializes in hospitality, health care and senior housing. Rice Fergus Miller is an architecture, planning and interior design firm in Bremerton.

WATG

Jonathan Wyman joined the hospitality design firm WATG as director of business development for North America. Wyman will seek new business opportunities in architecture, interiors, planning, landscape and strategy services. WATG said the majority of its clients' recent projects have been in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. But WATG said 2011 should mark the return of work in North America, starting with repositioning existing properties. Wyman was vice president of business development at ValleyCrest Cos.

AeroMetric

Crabtree
Jim Crabtree retired from AeroMetric after four and a half decades as a land surveyor, photogrammetrist and manager. Crabtree worked nationally and internationally, in the Middle East and Africa. In 1994, he became AeroMetric's vice president and regional manager in Seattle. He was responsible for the western U.S. operations, providing mapping services for 100-plus airports, wind farms, and other private and public projects. Crabtree was a contributing author for the fourth edition of the “Manual of Photogrammetry” and is editorial adviser and contributing author for Professional Surveyor magazine.

The Glosten Associates board of directors elected John L.R. Edgar III president of the Seattle-based naval architecture and marine engineering consulting firm. Former president William L. Hurley, Jr. served in that position since 2001 and now will be chairman of the board and execute strategic business initiatives. David Larsen will be director of engineering, responsible for best practices engineering processes. Edgar is Glosten's fourth president since its founding in 1958. He joined the firm in 1988. As director of engineering and most recently as vice president, he focused on reinforcing engineering structure and processes. Hurley joined Glosten in 1977 and has specialized in vessel design and construction while building ties in the marine industry. While he was president, Glosten doubled in size, increased its services and expanded into national and international markets. Larsen has 27 years of vessel design experience. He specializes in marine mechanical and electrical systems.

APS Survey & Mapping

Edwards
Bellevue-based APS Survey & Mapping appointed Scott Edwards vice president and significant owner in the company. Edwards joined APS in 2009. He helped update equipment and began a plan to improve employee training and recruit surveyors and CADD technicians. Edwards does scoping and scheduling for projects. He has 15-plus years of land-surveying experience, and in 2004 became a Washington licensed land surveyor. APS provides boundary, topographic and hydrographic surveys, utility surveys, right-of-ways and land title surveys.
