Runberg Architecture Group promoted Ana Parke, Brett Burnette, Kelly Carlson and Mat Lipps to senior associate. Parke is an architect with dual advanced degrees in architecture and construction management. She does project management and is working on two mixed-use developments in Yesler Terrace. Burnette has experience on mid-rise and high-rise development, and is project architect on a high-rise tower in South Lake Union. Carlson is an architect with experience in project management for hospitality and health care in the U.S. and Asia. She has worked on Seattle-area mid- and high-rise mixed-use projects. Lipps is an architect who has done project management of many of the firm's urban mixed-use projects. His recent work includes Nine + Pine Apartments in Seattle. Runberg is a Seattle-based architecture firm.

Bellevue architecture firm MZA promoted Craig Davenport to vice president. Davenport has worked on domestic and international projects for over 30 years and manages residential, community, hospitality, higher education and mixed-use projects. His local experience includes Bellevue Towers and Olive8. MZA works on mixed-use, office, retail, hospitality, culture and urban planning projects.



SHKS Architects named Laura Lenss a principal and shareholder, and promoted Matt Inpanbutr and Nelson Martelle to associate. Lenss joined SHKS in 2005 and has focused on adaptive reuse and rehabilitation projects. She is working on the Brain Studio for the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences at the University of Washington. Inpanbutr was hired in 2007 and has concentrated on preservation projects such as the Legislative Building in Olympia. He is working on the Bellingham Federal Building. Martelle was hired in 2008 and has worked on projects at the University of Washington. He is working on Seattle Fire Station 18.

Elliott Bay Design Group hired senior structural designer Ray De Cicco. He has 41 years of experience in the maritime industry as a structural designer and detailer, and oversaw conversion of US Navy subs. EBDG provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services, with offices in Seattle, New Orleans and Ketchikan.


Notkin Mechanical Engineers hired Karen Leinenwever as assistant operations manager and Tom Ingham as a mechanical designer. Leinenwever has over a decade of experience with engineering firms in the Pacific Northwest and will support Notkin's human resources, accounting and marketing groups. Ingham will support project teams. He has a background in mechanical engineering and experience with engineering sales and the Navy.




In Seattle, NAC Architecture hired Vincent Montesano and Michelle Hook as junior designers, Laurie Miyatake as a project accountant and Steve McConnell as a project architect. Montesano holds a bachelor's from the College of Architecture and Planning, Ball State University and a master of architecture from Taubman College of Architecture and Planning, University of Michigan. He has a background in construction, fabrication, representation and 3D modeling, and is working on Bellevue College's residence hall. Hook holds a bachelor of design in architecture from the University of Florida. She is on the Sumner Early Learning Center design team. Miyatake has over 15 years of experience in accounting, budget administration and financing. She maintains financial records for projects. McConnell has 29 years of experience. He was with NAC for 14 years, with projects that include Riverview Elementary School in Snohomish. He is working on Renton Middle School. NAC provides planning, design, engineering, and capital facilities consulting services, with offices also in Spokane and Los Angeles.

In the Seattle office, Hart Crowser hired Brigitte Brown and Marissa Goodman as environmental engineers, Jeff Bruce, Alexander Ciccone and Jordan Thomas as geotechnical engineers, Meghan Walker as a project assistant, Casey Hackett as a billing specialist and Jeremiah Ocampo as a payroll specialist. In Edmonds, it hired Jessica Blanchette as a marine biologist. In Portland, it hired Adam Jones as an engineering geologist and Cassandra Sims Knight as a marketing assistant. Brown and Goodman are working on projects for the Department of Ecology and Seattle City Light. Bruce, Ciccone and Thomas are supporting projects for the Washington State Department of Transportation, Seaport Alliance and local developers. Blanchette is in the natural resources group. She works on dredging and development projects to reduce impacts to fish, conducts marine mammal monitoring and supports laboratory studies. Jones specializes in evaluating slope stability in rocky areas. Seattle-based Hart Crowser is an engineering, science and consulting firm, with six offices in Alaska, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.



Johnson Braund hired Ayla Mull as an intern architect, and Irem Griswold and Sabrina Addison as interior designers. The firm specializes in multifamily and hospitality architecture and interior design.

Jim Duncan joined the board of directors of Perteet, a multidisciplinary engineering firm with offices in Everett, Seattle, Ellensburg and Snoqualmie. From 1991 to 2006, Duncan was CEO of Sparling, an electrical engineering and technology consulting firm. He is semi-retired and is on the boards of the ArtsFund, Classical KING FM 98.1, Rainier Club and The Center for Wooden Boats.
