Runberg Architecture Group promoted Susan Busch to senior associate. Busch has over two decades of experience in project design and management, with an emphasis on mixed-use, multifamily and adaptive reuse. Seattle-based Johnston Architects hired Leah Wiiest as an interior designer, Lu Zhang as an architectural graphic designer, Kathy Justice Pittman as a project architect, and Kimberly Allen as a marketing assistant. Wiiest has over 10 years of experience in interior design. She will work on houses, multifamily and commercial projects. Zhang has a background in urban planning, and develops renderings and infographics to support site analysis, visualization and marketing. She is fluent in Mandarin and helps investors navigate the American design process. Justice Pittman has over two decades of industry experience, including on West Coast projects. She is on the multifamily/mixed-use team supporting three projects in the University District. Allen supports marketing with a focus on the digital landscape. She holds a bachelor's in communication from Michigan State University.

Tacoma-based Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn promoted Rhonda Gillogly to chief operating officer. Gillogly will direct management and business development activities, while continuing to work on projects as a principal. She has a background in criminal justice, government, commercial, and K-12 and higher education design. Founding principal Peter T.S. Rasmussen and senior principal Kenn D. Triebelhorn will continue to focus on project design. The firm specializes in criminal justice, public safety, city hall, commercial and educational projects.

Jennifer Fleming is now a majority shareholder at Bremerton-based Rice Fergus Miller. She joins Steve Rice, Dave Fergus, Mike Miller and Greg Belding as an equal partner to continue leading the firm. Fleming leads the hospitality and senior living markets, and was lead interior designer of the firm's LEED platinum office and studio. She is on the WSU School of Design + Construction Advisory Board. The 48-person RFM provides architecture, interior design and planning.

Running

Portland-based FFA Architecture and Interiors hired Edward Running as an associate/project designer and Raquel Mansell as an architectural intern. Running has 16 years of higher education, corporate, government and residential project design experience. He is working on Groundworks Coffee Co.'s second Portland facility. Mansell holds a bachelor of architecture from the University of Oregon. At FFA she has supported civic, higher education and K-12 projects. The firm provides architecture, planning, historic preservation and interior design.

Ware Malcomb promoted Jonathan Thomas to regional manager in its Seattle office. He also joins the Pacific Northwest leadership team for the Seattle, and Pleasanton and San Francisco, California offices. Thomas was hired in 2010, and in 2015 promoted to studio manager of commercial architecture in Seattle. He has experience in architectural design, master planning, office, high tech, industrial and retail renovation projects. Mach has experience in roadway design, working on roundabouts in Washington and instructing roundabout design classes in Washington and California. Talich has 21 years of experience in civil and water resources engineering. Maturi has 13 years of experience providing civil analysis, design, and management for stormwater management, water distribution, solid waste and mining projects. Franco has over 20 years of experience in structural engineering and design. He has designed industrial, residential, commercial, educational, institutional and health care projects.
