In Seattle, Jared Smith joined Parametrix as a principal consultant working with clients on strategic initiatives and assisting project teams. Smith has 34 years of experience with a focus on transportation and transit design, including freeways, bridges, streetcar and light rail systems, bikeways, ferry terminals and arterial projects. From 2001 to 2013, he oversaw Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP) Northwest operations. He has been director of the Seattle Office of the Waterfront and the city's regional transit manager. Reid is pursuing a bachelor of landscape architecture degree at Washington State University. He is working on the University of Idaho Basketball Arena. Seattle-based Rolluda Architects hired Pamela Aymar and Agata Fisiak as project designers. Aymar was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She has a bachelor's in architectural design from the University of Washington. She is working on projects for King County Solid Waste and Pierce County's Sprinker Recreation Center hockey team rooms. Fisiak grew up in Warsaw, Poland, and has a bachelor of engineering in architecture and urban planning from Warsaw University of Technology. She has worked on projects in Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Poland and Jordan. She is working on design of the Filipino Community Village Senior Housing and Innovative Learning Center in Seattle.

In Seattle, Hart Crowser hired Nathan Jones as a geotechnical engineer, Ryan Sullivan-Johnson as a geologist and Evin Fairchild as a CAD drafter. In Portland, it hired Alayna Martin as a marketing coordinator. Jones will support building and transportation projects. He has a master of engineering in civil engineering from Oregon State University, and has worked for the Federal Highway Administration and Bureau of Land Management. Sullivan-Johnson will support building and transportation projects and habitat restoration. He has a bachelor's in geosciences from Pacific Lutheran University. Fairchild has an associate in applied science in civil design technology from Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Martin will provide proposal and marketing support for geotechnical engineering, environmental services, and natural resource services company-wide. She has a bachelor's in communications from Linfield College and experience in administrative support and digital marketing. Hart Crowser is an engineering, science, and consulting firm.

KMB architects

Barry

Olympia-based KMB architects hired Jason Barry as a project manager/project architect. Barry has over 18 years of project design experience, including on 25 health care facilities in Washington. Among them is the second hybrid operating room west of the Cascades. KMB provides architectural services, security design and consulting, project management and graphic design.






HKP Architects

Poppe

Brian Poppe, a partner with HKP Architects, completed the Design-Build Institute of America's education, training and certification testing program to earn the Associate Design-Build Professional designation. Design-build is expedited construction delivery in which design decisions are made in the field. The architectural design is executed at a close pace with construction.

Allen is working on the Lewis & Clark High School addition and the MultiCare BiPlane Lab renovation. She was with Sazan Group in Seattle. Townsend is responsible for benefits, recruiting, on-boarding, and management support. She has a bachelor's in business administration with a major in human resources from Eastern Washington University. Brewington holds a bachelor's in accounting from Central Washington University and a master of accountancy from Gonzaga University. NAC specializes in planning, design, engineering, and capital facilities consulting services.

She has a bachelor's from Indiana University and a master's in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology. Board & Vellum provides architecture, interior design and landscape architecture.

In Tukwila, it hired Blake Erlandson as a landscape designer on residential and commercial projects. Erlandson has a bachelor's in landscape architecture from Washington State University and was a landscape designer for New Horizons Landscape in Redmond. In Lacey, engineer Bob Connolly joined SCJ Alliance as a senior project manager who also does client management, business development and community involvement. Connolly helped lead Skillings Connolly for over 30 years. He designed sites for schools, colleges, libraries, fire stations and residential developments, and his work has included Lacey College Street Library. SCJ specializes in civil engineering, transportation planning and design, landscape architecture, environmental and urban planning, and public outreach.
