Gensler

Jensen

Kristin Jensen joined the Seattle office of global design firm Gensler as a managing director. Jensen joins Ryan Haines in leading the design and strategy practice whose clients have included T-Mobile, Adobe, citizenM, Tableau, Madison Marquette and Microsoft. She is returning to architecture after spending the past two decades in commercial real estate development. Most recently, she was vice president of development at Touchstone where she led the development of office and hotel projects in the Seattle core. She has a degree in architecture from Washington State University.

Ware Malcomb

Hanbicki

International design firm Ware Malcomb hired Edward Hanbicki as studio manager, interior architecture and design in the Seattle office. He will also manage select interiors projects in the Seattle market. Hanbicki has over 29 years of architecture and interior design experience. He has worked in North America and internationally in the corporate, hospitality and retail sectors, and has experience in program management, project management and construction management.

DCI Engineers

Jacobs

DCI Engineers promoted Danielle Jacobs to principal in its Seattle office. Jacobs began her career at DCI as an intern, and joined it as a full-time project engineer in 2006. Her local accomplishments include Georgetown Crossroads and 929 Office Tower. She leads a team of 10 in the Everett office. She also leads the cold form steel technical committee for DCI, a civil and structural engineering firm.

HNTB Corp.

Dill

Tim Dill joined HNTB Corp. as a senior project manager in architecture. Dill, an architect, is based in the Bellevue office and manages aviation and transit projects in the Northwest Division as well as supports HNTB's nationwide architecture practice. He has over 25 years of architecture experience in aviation, planning, federal government projects and historic preservation. He has worked on projects at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and provided design services for Alaska's Ketchikan International Airport renovation and expansion. HNTB is an infrastructure firm.

Build LLC

Moran

Seattle architecture firm Build LLC promoted Carey Moran to partner. Moran holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Lehigh University, and a master of architecture from the University of Washington. She has also studied and interned in Denmark, and is involved with the UW College of Built Environments and Scan Design as a contributing professional.

Wyllie

Seattle-based Hewitt promoted Mary Wyllie to senior associate and hired Mike Koski-Harja as an associate landscape architect, Arian van der Aar and Jasmine McNeil as architectural designers and Katelin Carter Bonham as senior marketing coordinator.

Wyllie is an architect who manages and designs transportation projects in the Puget Sound region. She is working on new light rail stations including the Downtown Redmond Link Extension preliminary engineering, the Northgate Link Extension designs for the Northgate and Roosevelt stations, and the East Link final station design for Judkins Park Station.

Koski-Harja has 20 years of landscape architectural design experience on public and private projects in the region. He is managing landscape design for mixed-use residential projects including Kirkland Urban, Redmond Centre and 1400 Madison.

Van der Aar has a master's in architecture from the University of Washington and experience on mixed-use, multifamily, office, retail and high-end residential towers in New York. He is assisting on the West Seattle to Ballard Link Extension and construction administration on Roosevelt Station. McNeil has a master of science in architecture from Virginia Tech and experience in workplace and commercial interiors, transportation, housing and recreation. She is doing contract administration for the Roosevelt and Northgate stations. Carter Bonham has over six years of marketing and graphic design experience in the AEC industry, and a passion for market research and marketing campaigns.

Fleischman

The Watershed Co. hired Amanda Fleischman as a landscape designer and Grace Brennan as an ecologist. Fleischman has degrees in business and landscape architecture and supports the firm with AutoCAD and graphic design for landscape projects, land planning and marketing. Brennan supports the natural resources group with wetland and stream delineations, monitoring projects and technical writing. Watershed provides natural resources assessment, mitigation and restoration design, environmental planning and permitting, stormwater monitoring, arborist and landscape architecture services.

Phang

Ng

Kirkland-based Architectural Werks promoted Franklin Ng to principal and Jennifer Phang to senior project manager. Ng has over 23 years of experience in the Northwest, including in the design of dental, animal and human health care facilities, and multifamily, retail, office and technology projects. He oversees the application of new technology systems in the firm, and his addition to the partnership pool provides it with the resources to focus on its continued expansion of existing services into the dental health care markets on the West Coast. Phang was hired in 2000 and has designed over 100 animal health care projects for veterinary hospitals, specialty — emergency centers and boarding and day care facilities. She also manages project scheduling and staff utilization for the architectural, planning and interior design firm.

HKP Architects

Klein

In Mount Vernon, HKP Architects hired McKenna Klein as an architectural designer. Klein was an architectural designer for three years at Paradigm v2 Architects in Missoula, Montana. She has been a project manager, marketing and design assistant and internal communications director. As a designer, she has worked on residential, adaptive reuse, park, commercial interior design, and K-12 and university master planning projects. She is working on Skagit Valley College Dental Health Aid Therapist Lab.
