Lien

In Seattle, GGLO promoted Jen Lien and Jasmin Dolores to senior associate. Lien has over 23 years of experience designing urban housing developments, commercial mixed-use and public transit projects, including as lead architect on multifamily projects in Seattle. Dolores has been with GGLO for 21 years. She is the accounting manager and has recently implemented a paperless interoffice transaction system. GGLO provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and urban design, with offices also in Los Angeles and Boise, Idaho.

WSP USA hired Allan Tanjuaquio as a senior vice president and construction services lead for its West region, which includes Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Guam. Tanjuaquio has 29 years of program management and construction management experience and will deliver construction management projects and drive growth and operating performance for the region. Prior to joining WSP, he was a vice president and PM/CM regional manager for an international engineering firm, where he oversaw projects in the Southern California/Southwest region. Previously, he was with Caltrans for two decades. WSP USA is an engineering and professional services consultancy.

Parametrix hired Scotty Ireland as a senior consultant in Puyallup. Ireland will provide project and construction management to public agencies in the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound regions. He has over 23 years of experience in project development, construction management and administration, and policy development. He was with Guy F. Atkinson Construction as the design-build project and construction quality assurance manager for the Interstate-5 Dupont-Steilacoom Corridor improvement project. Previously, he was with the Washington State Department of Transportation for 19 years. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Wilson Engineering of Bellingham hired Rhett Winter as a project engineer. He will work on stormwater engineering projects. Winter has 20 years of civil engineering and project management experience with site development, stormwater, roads, parking, site grading, site utilities, water and sewer. Wilson provides civil engineering and surveying services.

BCE Engineers

Smith

Fife-based BCE Engineers promoted Jim Smith to senior associate. Smith has been with the firm for 13 years, and has enhanced engineering for many project teams in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. BCE is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering firm.

Hart Crowser

Ehlebracht

Mike Ehlebracht, principal geochemist at Seattle-based Hart Crowser, was named chair of the Snohomish County Marine Resources Committee, which advises the county on approaches to conserve the local marine environment. It does restoration, conservation and education projects with others. Members are appointed by the Snohomish County Council. Ehlebracht has volunteered for the MRC for six years.

Bryce Olberding has been appointed to the Idaho Board of Landscape Architects, which reviews license applications, rules on disciplinary matters brought against landscape architects, collaborates with the Council for Landscape Architectural Registration Board, works with Idaho Montana Chapter ASLA and promotes the practice of landscape architecture. He is a landscape architect in the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, office of Architects West, with experience on educational, civic, tribal and commercial projects.

Jack Chaffin has become a partner in Seattle-based Johnston Architects, expanding its ownership team. Chaffin joined JA in 2017 as a principal, bringing over 20 years of experience in public projects. His past work includes higher education, government buildings, museums, convention centers and historic renovations on the East Coast and in the Northwest. He is leading the Whatcom County Library District's new Blaine Library and conceptual design and master planning of a Sedro-Woolley community that will include retail, multifamily, office and hotel. JA provides architecture, interior design and planning.

In Seattle, Bassetti Architects promoted Amanda Clausen to associate principal and director of interior design and Kara Johnson to office manager. Clausen has played an integral role over the past five years in building the interior design department. Her leadership of that department and within the entire firm has helped Bassetti grow. She has positive client relationships, business development acumen, an open management style and deep knowledge of learning environments. Johnson has organizational and communication skills. She will manage general office operations, equipment and office support services, and support staff with scheduling, budget development and contract administration. In Seattle, DCI Engineers promoted Gaelyn Krauser and Eric Pope to associate. Krauser has used her technical and project management skills on commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, high-rise and tenant improvement projects that include the Residence Inn Marriott Seattle and the Wasatch superblock in Bellevue. She is working on 1500 Mission in San Francisco. Pope's engineering contributions and leadership on residential, commercial and hospitality projects led to his advancement. His completed work includes The Danforth and Murano Senior Living in Seattle. He is project manager for the 1001 Office Towers in Bellevue. DCI is a civil and structural engineering firm.

Terracon promoted Peter J. Palmerson to geotechnical department manager for its Seattle office. Palmerson has over 20 years of public and private consulting experience. He specializes in managing design-build projects for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Prior to joining Terracon, he managed the WSDOT Geotechnical Division Laboratory and Instrumentation sections. Terracon provides geotechnical, environmental and materials services.

Pace Engineers hired Pam Cobley as a project manager in its Kirkland office. Cobley has 20 years of experience that includes project planning, community plan involvement implementation, comprehensive plan updates and amendments, emergency response and hazard mitigation plans, and she is a certified Envision Sustainability Professional. Pace is a civil and structural engineering, planning and surveying firm, with offices also in Everett, Wenatchee and Lake Oswego, Oregon.
