Tacoma-based Ethos Civil announced the recent additions of William Thompson, Trevor McDonald, Andrew Coito-Poile and Noah Burlingame to their growing firm. Thompson, McDonald and Coito-Poile were formerly with AHBL.
Thompson has four years of professional experience and manages Ethos Civil's Wenatchee office. He is the lead designer for projects such as a senior living development in Spokane and a commercial development in Missoula, Montana.
McDonald has nine years of professional experience. He serves in the Army Reserves at Joint-Base Lewis McChord. McDonald is the lead engineer for the Memorial Stadium project with Federal Way Public Schools.
Coito-Poile has five years of professional experience. He is the lead designer for projects with several K-12 clients, including Tacoma Public Schools, Bethel School District, North Kitsap School District and Clover Park School District.
Burlingame is a recent graduate of George Fox University. He is the lead designer for the Salvation Baptist Church project, a 19-acre development located in Milton.

Sielen Namdar has been appointed to the Parametrix Board of Directors as the eighth member. Namdar currently serves as Global Sustainability Lead for Industries and Global Diversity & Inclusion Lead at Cisco. Prior to joining Cisco in 2018, Namdar spent 20 years at Jacobs where she co-founded the Smart Cities Initiative serving as the Global Strategic Sales Director and led Global Strategic Sales for key programs in water, transportation and energy markets. Namdar brings her experience across multiple industries implementing sustainable and innovative technologies to Parametrix.





In Seattle, Perkins&Will promoted Marie Henson to principal, Ana Hakim to senior associate and Jeff Sipprell, Veronika Jonsson and Ashley Smith to associate. Henson has dedicated her career to healthcare planning and design. As Perkins&Will's Regional Practice Leader in healthcare, Henson has presented her work at the Healthcare Design Conference, the WSSHE Conference and the Architecture for Health Panel. Henson currently plays a leadership role on the Providence Swedish First Hill Transformation among other healthcare projects.
Hakim is a project architect with over 20 years of industry experience. She has participated in projects based around the world, ranging from large institutional and commercial developments to single-family residential remodeling. She collaborates with project managers, leaders and stakeholders on healthcare, corporate, civic and commercial projects. Hakim is currently the project architect for the Providence Swedish First Hill Inpatient Tower and plays leadership role on the studio's Project Resource Team, which ensures technical excellence across all projects.
Sipprell is a senior project architect who has been with Perkins&Will for over three years. He currently works on the Providence Swedish First Hill Ambulatory Tower, First Hill District Energy Implementation and Swedish Cancer Institute.
Jonsson is a designer III and has been with Perkins&Will for over six years. Currently she is working on MultiCare Advanced Primary Care Clinics, the First Hill Medical Pavilion Tenant Improvements, Swedish Cancer Institute and MCG Health Seattle. Smith is a project manager and has mainly designed complex buildings for higher-education, life science and healthcare clients. She is currently serving as project manager for Providence Swedish First Hill Inpatient Tower, the Stewart Avenue Life Science Tower, and Providence Swedish First Hill Ambulatory Tower.

KBA Inc. hired Gina M. Hortillosa as project manager in the firm's Bellevue office. Hortillosa brings over 25 years of experience as public works director, development engineering manager, designer, capital projects manager and team builder for roads, bridges, water/wastewater, and transportation projects primarily in Washington state. She is a licensed Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Seattle University. As the former Development Engineering Manager of Alderwood Water and Wastewater District, city of Mill Creek Public Works Director, and longâ€time Capital Projects Manager for the city of Kirkland, Hortillosa's experience complements KBA's established role as a premier CM provider of consulting engineering services on largeâ€scale infrastructure and transit projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. KBA Inc. is a purposeâ€built engineering firm specializing in construction management, project/program management and valueâ€added specialty services.

Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., has welcomed 16 new team members. The mix of new hires includes two administrative assistants, one architectural CAD technician, three assistant planners, six design engineers, one project engineer, one project coordinator, one HR assistant and one marketing assistant. 15 of the new employees will be working out of the Kent, Washington office with one employee working out of the Roseville, California branch office. Angelica Schattler joined the firm in January as an assistant planner. She holds a B.S. in environmental science from Oregon State University and is currently working on her master's of science at the University of Idaho. Samantha Hunter was hired in February as an assistant planner. Hunter is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Texas State University where she studied urban and regional planning, and geography. She has previous experience as an assistant planner and planning technician for the City of New Braunfels, TX.
Parker Stroble joined Barghausen in February as a design engineer. Stroble is a class of 2012 Clemson graduate with a B.S. in engineering and relocated to Washington from South Carolina. He has a four-year background as a civil designer and a design engineer, previously at SeamonWhiteside in South Carolina.
Mitchell Anderson joined the firm in February as an architectural CAD technician. Anderson graduated from Portland Community College, and previously worked as a framer for two years, and as a drafter for a small engineering firm for four years. Rigoberto Ortiz was hired in March as an HR assistant. Ortiz is a 2021 graduate with a B.A. from the University of Washington majoring in communication and minoring in music. His previous background includes working in recruiting and onboarding before joining Barghausen.
William Sullivan joined Barghausen in March as a design engineer. Sullivan received his B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology where he studied civil engineering. He has earlier experience as a project engineer since graduating in 2020. Arnulfo Mercado was hired in April as a design engineer. Mercardo is a civil engineering 2020 graduate from the University of Washington specializing in private development. He has an earlier background at Davido Consulting Group as a civil engineer and received his EIT license in 2019.
Kali Barnes joined the Barghausen team in April as an administrative assistant working closely with the firm's residential team. Barnes has earlier experience in marketing, sales, teaching and curriculum development. She is a 2020 graduate from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in English literature
Snover Punia was hired in April as a design engineer, working with the commercial team on a diverse range of projects. She is a master's graduate from the University of Illinois Chicago where she studied civil engineering and environmental science. Throughout her graduate studies, Punia was involved in the Engineers without Borders – University of Illinois Chicago Chapter. Jonothan Carp joined the Barghausen team in April as a project engineer. Carp is a graduate from Saint Martin's University with a B.S. in civil engineering. He previously worked as a project engineer for AHBL Inc. and has several years of experience in the field.
Elizebeth Swing joined Barghausen's Roseville team in April as a design engineer. Swing graduated from California State University Sacramento with a B.S. in civil engineering. She recently became an EIT and has been working in land development for over five years, with experience in residential, industrial and commercial projects.
Lauren New was hired in April to the Barghausen team as a marketing assistant. New is a 2021 graduate from the University of Washington with a B.A. in communications. She is well versed in digital media and marketing. She has a background in creative services, customer service and working with small businesses. Ryan Gilmer joined Barghausen in May as a design engineer. Gilmer graduated from Seattle University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering. He obtained his EIT certification in January 2021 and has previous background from interning and working as a design engineer at LPD Engineering PLLC.
Oliver Macpherson also joined Barghausen in May as a project coordinator. Macpherson is a graduate from Western Washington University, where he studied environmental studies and policy. His previous work experience includes working for the Washington State Department of Ecology.
Andrew Bowman was too hired in May as an assistant planner. Bowman graduated from the University of Washington where he earned a degree in business administration with a minor in data analytics. He previously worked for the Navy as a contract specialist and in the energy industry as an assistant project manager.

Runberg Architecture Group has promoted Mathew Lipps, AIA, to principal. Lipps has 20 years of experience, with a decade at Runberg Architecture Group. His broad experience managing diverse projects has resulted in numerous award-winning, community-anchored, multifamily housing projects throughout the Puget Sound. He is currently overseeing several projects, including SPUR Apartments, 1710 12th Ave, Vivo Roy and Vivo Mercer. Previous projects include the Eleanor Apartments. Lipps currently coordinates thr teams in the construction phase and collaborates with an internal team for quality assessment/quality control. In addition, he serves as an advisor for Runberg's continuing education committee. Lipps holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington, and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.

International design firm, Ware Malcomb, announced that Adam Segalla has joined the firm as studio manager, architecture in the Seattle office. In this role, Segalla will be engaged in business development, staff mentorship, and operations for the Seattle Architecture Studio and assist in growing the office's practice.
Segalla brings over 20 years of architecture and design experience to Ware Malcomb and is a licensed architect in the states of Washington and Oregon and in British Columbia, Canada. At his previous firm he served as technical director, responsible for client development, staff mentorship and assisting with QA/QC process restructuring. His skills include account building and management, project and team management, QA/QC, strategic planning, and company branding.
Segalla holds a Bachelor of Arts and Architecture from Sadna in Tel Aviv and a Bachelor of Architecture from SCI-Arc in Los Angeles. He is a 2023 Executive MBA candidate at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. In addition, he is LEED AP BD+C certified, a WELL Accredited Professional, and a member of the planning commission for the City of Lynnwood, Washington.
