HKP Architects has welcomed Rebecca Wolfe as project manager, architect.
Wolfe earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Urbanism in 2015 from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and a Master of Architecture in 2019 from Montana State University in Bozeman. A born-and-raised Alaskan, her interest in design for the Circumpolar North led her on a year of graduate study at the world's northernmost architecture school at the University of Oulu, Finland in 2016-2017.
Wolfe brings a wide range of project experience to HKP Architects, from historic preservation and adaptive reuse to multi-family housing. She previously worked with William Merriman Architects and Lumen Design in Anchorage, Alaska and Cater Design Group in Bakersfield, California. She achieved licensure in Alaska in 2023 and is currently pursuing licensure in Washington.










Olson Kundig has promoted the following 11 team members to associate: Jay Bills, Michael Cady, Brandon Crain, Marie Daskalas, Patricia Flores, Ekram Hassen, Connor Irick, Eunice Kim, Megan Marshall, Ryan Patterson, and Vaidotas Vaiciulis.
Bills has worked across a wide variety of project types, including hospitality, workplace, and multi-family, with an emphasis and passion for single-family residential and interior architecture. He works closely with clients and collaborators to realize spaces that are centered in authenticity, utility, and joy.

Cady has a range of experience on multiple building types and scales, including building rehabilitation /renovation, retail, commercial office, education, residential, and cultural projects. His proficiency in both design and technical facets has allowed him to successfully navigate through numerous intricate and complex design challenges.
Crain has both design and construction experience across a variety of project types, ranging from commercial to cultural projects, with a focus on residential work. He has been involved in internal Quality Control and Research & Development working groups.
Daskalas is an interior designer whose work focuses on the firm's single-family, multi-family, and hospitality sectors. She is a dedicated collaborator and mentor to her teammates and seeks to build and strengthen relationships with external partners throughout the design process, including clients, contractors, makers and tradespeople.
Flores is a dedicated project architect and project manager with a current focus on single-family residential work and a passion for designing within rural landscapes. Informed by her background in design-build environments, she is especially interested in project execution and the integration of architecture and construction processes.
Hassen works primarily on single-family residential projects, ranging from small cabins in remote landscapes to large urban homes. She is a champion of pro bono work within the office and works to foster an engaging and collaborative process for all team members.
Irick has a range of diverse project experience, including ongoing work in the single-family residential and commercial sectors, as well as prefabricated design. Guided by previous experience in custom metal fabrication, he is especially interested in elevating accessible and equitable materials through a high level of design detail and attention to craft.
Kim is an interior designer who has worked on hospitality projects around the globe, drawing inspiration from her background in furniture design and deep appreciation for hand-crafted objects.
Marshall has a range of professional experience on a variety of project types, including single-family and multi-family residential, hospitality, and workplace. She is an active member of an internal committee tasked with developing and implementing new design standards for the firm's work in the hospitality and multi-family sectors.
Patterson works across several project sectors, spanning single-family residential, adaptive re-use and repositioning, retail, hospitality, and prefabricated projects, as well as design competitions.
VaiÄiulis has experience working on a range of projects and scales, spanning cultural, residential, mixed-use buildings throughout Europe and the United States, with a current focus on luxury hospitality and private residences.

Wilson Engineering, LLC has announced the promotion of Paul Darrow to the position of survey department manager, replacing J. Thomas Brewster. Brewster has been with Wilson Engineering since 1994, serving as survey manager since 2010. He will continue with the company as a partner and principal surveyor.
Darrow has 23 years of experience as a surveyor, including nine years at Wilson Engineering. He began surveying in Montana and has since traveled the West from Oregon to Alaska performing field surveys and providing office support for boundary, transportation and facility projects of all sizes.
Darrow is a Certified Federal Surveyor and is authorized to perform boundary surveys within and abutting Federal Lands. For the last several years at Wilson he has managed public infrastructure related mapping projects helping improve water quality, pedestrian safety, transportation and natural habitats throughout the Puget Sound Region.

AHBL has promoted the following individuals: Bart Brynestad to principal and Scott Kaul to associate principal.
After a year as associate principal, Brynestad is now principal within the Civil Division. Brynestad is an experienced civil engineer with 10 years of technical experience in all aspects of land development engineering. His experience includes leading the civil design on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Brynestad has experience with many municipalities throughout Washington. As a principal, he will be responsible for ensuring AHBL's private and land development market continues to flourish.
Kaul is now an associate principal within the Civil Division. Kaul is an experienced civil engineer with 18 years' experience designing a variety of project types including residential, commercial, municipal, educational, military, and industrial. His technical experience includes a broad knowledge of site development including entitlements, site utility design and calculations, site grading, storm drainage design, and construction administration. In his new role, he will continue to manage projects for developers and architects on single-family subdivision, multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use project types; and work closely with the principals to learn AHBL's business model and contribute to its continued success.

Art Anderson, a Bremerton-based multidisciplinary engineering services firm, has hired Michael Loboda as an electrical engineer. Loboda will work in the firm's Architectural & Design Division and be responsible for electrical engineering and related services for a wide range of A/E project types.
Loboda brings a broad background of knowledge in electrical systems, problem solving, and adaptability. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with an electrical engineering degree and has served as a radio operator and technician in the Marine Corps.



BCRA has announced one promotion, one board appointment, and one new team member.
Lori Robbin has been promoted to managing principal. Robbin brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of the AEC industry. In her new role, she will continue to lead BCRA's community-centric design initiatives and extend her influence to include operational oversight of the human resources and marketing departments.
Robbin's commitment to BCRA spans two decades, during which she has dedicated the last 11 years to leading the Interior Design Group. Robbin is involved in various market sectors, with a particular focus on delivering education and early learning projects.
Jim Wolch, a current principal and healthcare market lead at BCRA, has been appointed to the Community Life Resources Board of Directors, reinforcing his dedication to the advancement of health care and behavioral health initiatives. Wolch's active involvement with the board aligns with his vision for inclusive and accessible health care in Washington state and highlights his commitment to organizations that prioritize the enhancement of the state's health systems.
In his role as the Healthcare Market lead, he guides BCRA to deliver community-centered health care projects with a design philosophy that revolves around the creation of transformative health care facilities that foster meaningful connections among individuals. Through embracing biophilic and trauma-informed design principles, the BCRA health care team crafts thoughtful spaces that not only support patients in their healing journey but also enhance the overall experiences of health care staff.
Mara Dean has been hired as the firm's new director of marketing. Dean brings 16 years of experience in the AEC industry. She has a passion for architecture, research, writing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary firms, and anticipates bringing BCRA's marketing strategies to new heights, including the fostering of community-centric designs across their diverse market sectors.

Gensler Seattle has promoted Jacob Simons to principal. As Gensler's NW Regional Strategy Practice leader, Simons leads a team of researchers, strategists, and designers, and offers thought-leadership across a diverse array of clients and industries. As a director of design strategy, he integrates his background in social science and design to tackle a host of complex problems and opportunities.
Simons is responsible for building partner relations; strategic advisory and facilitation of research, strategy, and prototyping; and elevating the cohesion and impact of Gensler's global strategy practice.
