Bothell-based Cornerstone General Contractors promoted three employees to the role of senior project manager. Matt Everett has been part of numerous projects throughout his 16-year career at Cornerstone. He has led project teams to multiple firsts for the company, including the first large-scale mass timber project at Van Asselt Middle School in Seattle and the first progressive design-build project at Cougar Mountain Middle School in Issaquah. He is experienced in supporting clients in preconstruction planning, and has been a keynote speaker on multiple panels to educational facility designers and builders across the state about the benefits of mass timber to the learning environment. A graduate of the University of Washington, Everett holds a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences. Josh Goldman has enjoyed a 15-year career in construction, and most of it with Cornerstone. His contributions have included the successful completion of large education facilities constructed on occupied sites. Most recently, he helped Cornerstone earn its first collegiate project award to build the Gateway CC5 Building for Cascadia College. He is currently leading a team to construct the new Evergreen High School in Seattle. He is a LEED AP, holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is a graduate of the University of Washington's Construction Management Program. Dan Lampert joined Cornerstone in 2021. Prior to that, he spent 13 years constructing projects including public schools, and facilities for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including work at Joint Base Lewis McChord. Since joining Cornerstone, he's led the completion of several large, complex education projects. Lampert is currently leading the project team building the new $174 million Bethel High School in Graham. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho.

Travis Cheshire has joined Atwell – a national consulting, engineering, and construction services firm – as senior project manager of private development. In this role, Cheshire will lead the execution of private development projects for Atwell's clients in the Pacific Northwest, including commercial and multi-family projects.
Cheshire's career spans more than eight years in civil and environmental engineering. He has a proven track record of successfully managing diverse and complex projects and has overseen a wide range of projects, including large-scale commercial developments, infrastructure improvements, and environmental remediation efforts. His expertise include project management and strong leadership skills.
Atwell is also pleased to welcome Erica May and Nicole Sunada to the firm's civil engineering team. May, a recent graduate from Iowa State University, brings a comprehensive background in erosion control, utility systems, and stormwater management. Sunada, a Washington State University graduate, joins with valuable experience on a wide variety of projects, including single-family residential, mixed-use, and commercial sites.


Nestor Herrera and Nick Chapman, both recent WSU graduates, have joined SPVV Landscape Architects as landscape designers. With a background in landscape construction and strong technical skills, Herrera is assisting the firm on several projects, including the Spokane Valley Cross Country Course and a comprehensive parks plan for the town of Reardan.
Chapman brings several years of experience in landscape construction and management. He previously managed the Spokane KOA campground and successfully implemented landscape improvements to enhance the visitors' experience. Chapman is currently assisting with the West Central Infrastructure project, as well as the new Sageview High School in Pasco.
Established in 1995, Spokane-based SPVV Landscape Architects provides professional landscape architecture and planning services to clients throughout the western United States and internationally. Market sectors served include parks and recreation, athletic, healthcare, continuing care, higher education, K-12 education, government, corporate, commercial, technology, and multi-family housing.

KMB architects has welcomed ten new team members in the first half of 2024: Terence Bills, E.J. Deocampo, Jenny Hughes, Shomari Lacy, Gene La Vaque, Brian Lawerence, Sheyda Sharareh, Benjamin Rishel, Rachel Freund, and G. Schuyler Cadwalader.
Senior project manager Bills has focused deeply on developing and maintaining strong client connections through K-12 education projects during his 39-year career in architecture. Bills holds a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Master's of Architecture from the University of Michigan.
Project architect Lacy has a diverse background in architecture, project management, and website development. Lacy holds a Bachelor's of Architecture from the College of Architecture Art & Design, Mississippi State University, and a Master's of Internet Technology, Management Information Systems Department, University of Georgia.
Deocampo recently joined the KMB team as a staff architect with a career focused on sustainable design, affordable housing, and mixed-use projects. Deocampo holds a Bachelor's in Architecture Studies and a Master's of Architecture from Washington State University.
Hughes joined KMB as a staff architect with 16 years of experience specializing in mixed-use development, single-family residential, and justice facilities. Hughes holds an Associate in Applied Science, from South Puget Sound Community College.
La Vaque joined KMB as a project manager/project architect with a 26-year career focused on state, higher education, and K-12 market sectors. La Vaque holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Art/Art Studios from the College of Visual Arts and a Master's of Architecture from the University of Minnesota.
Lawerence has joined KMB as a staff architect with seven years of experience. Lawerence's experience spans from single and multi-family residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and civic projects.
Interior designer, Sheyda Sharareh, joins KMB with six years of experience. Her project work includes education, multi-family, healthcare, corporate, civic, and commercial. Sharareh's certifications include WELL AP and Associate AIA.
Project architect, Benjamin Rishel joines KMB with 10 years of experience. He has worked on various project types and scales, including justice facilities, residential, mixed-use, and sustainable development. Rishel holds a Bachelor's of Architecture, from the University of Arizona, and is a registered architect in Washington, North Carolina, and Iowa.
Staff architect, Rachel Freund has 12 years of experience specializing in mixed-use, tenant improvements, residential, adaptive re-use, and sustainability. Freund holds a Bachelor's of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University.
Staff architect, G. Schuyler Cadwalader, joins KMB with 10 years of experience with a focus on mixed-use, residential, high-rises, and civic projects. Cadwalader holds a Bachelor's of Arts from Hampshire College and a Master's of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
