AIA Project of the Month: A place to meet, play, dream at Yesler Terrace

Yesler Community Center opens to the street under a canopy that marks the central circulation spine. Exterior materials include red brick, concrete block, steel and glass.

It's always been hard to find the center of Yesler Terrace, Seattle Housing Authority's 1939 development on the crest of the hill above downtown Seattle.
