EnvisIon Telephony

Envision Telephony, a Seattle-based developer of contact center solutions, announced the hiring of Diane Williams as director of marketing, Colin Hayes as director of business development and Ruben Alanis as director of development. Williams is chiefly responsible for developing the long-term strategy designed to introduce the company's newest product, Click2Coach. Hayes will manage corporate relationships with Envision's software and hardware partners and manage the company's international expansion. Alanis played a key role in the development of Click2Coach will lead the company in identifying industry needs and in building on the company's suite of contact center solutions.

Capital Stream

Capital Stream, a Seattle-based provider of business-to-business e-commerce marketplace service and applications for the commercial finance industry, announced the hiring of Walter Demaree as senior vice president-group manager of financial institutions. Demaree joins Capital Stream from Babcock & Brown where he was partner and managing director.

Medical Consultants Network

Medical Consultants Network, a Seattle-based provider of medical judgment services, announced the appointment of Kay Brekken as chief financial officer. Brekken comes to MCN from Deloitte and Touche, where she was a senior consultant in the information systems arena.

Pyramid Breweries

Seattle-based Pyramid Breweries announced that Wayne Drury has been appointed chief financial officer and vice president of finance and administration. Drury comes to Pyramid from Azteca Restaurant Enterprises, a Seattle based company with 31 company owned and licensed locations. As chief financial officer at Azteca, Drury was responsible for all finance, banking, acquisitions, financial reporting, risk management, tax planning and information systems management at the privately held company. Drury joins a new executive team at Pyramid that has taken shape over the last 12 months. Martin Kelly joined the company in August of 1999 as president and COO, and he was elevated to the CEO position in December. Gary McGrath joined Pyramid in November as vice president of sales, and Nick Walpert signed on in March of 2000 as vice president and COO of the Alehouse Division. In addition, Kurt Dammeier, took over the role of non-executive chairman of the Board in December of 1999.

Wireless Services

Wireless Services, a Bellevue-based application service provider for mobile Internet applications, announced the appointment of David Hoogerwerf as vice president of engineering. A telecom veteran with more than 20 years experience at companies including Boeing, GTE and Cellular Technical Services Co., Hoogerwerf was previously the director of engineering for Datacom Textron, where he was responsible for all aspects of technology for the company, including product vision, architecture, hardware design and software development. He has been awarded four U.S. patents for wireless technology-related products

World2Market.com

Seattle-based World2Market.com has entered a new stage of business. The company, formerly an e-commerce site providing consumers with unique items created in authentic artisan communities around the world, is now concentrating on connecting the same artisans to bigger and better opportunities by selling within popular brands and retailers.

The company is also creating Web-based windows into the communities where the products were made.

The transition means that World2Market.com products will no longer be available on its own Web site. The company has named UncommonGoods.com as its first official retail partner. UncommonGoods.com will now provide the consumer with these products while World2Maket.com will continue to forge partnerships with brands and retailers.

vJungle

vJungle, a Redmond-based integrated application service provider, appointed Phani Vaddadi to vice president of engineering and chief technology officer. Vaddadi will drive the technical direction and development of the OpenEX platform for vJungle's services and manage the company's development teams located in Redmond and Bombay, India. Vaddadi comes to vJungle after an 11-year career at Microsoft where he led the company's XML strategy.

QBeo

QBeo, a North Bend-based innovator of digital imaging technology, is adapting its digital imaging technology to the broadband cable environment. Leading the technical development of My Photo Gallery will be QBeo's newly appointed vice president of engineering, Rob Clark, a former technical lead at Netscape Communications and Sun Microsystems. Before joining QBeo, Clark was the director of product development, client applications, for Bellevue-based Attachmate.

InterWest Bancorp

InterWest Bancorp has merged its banking affiliates, InterWest Bank, Pacific Northwest Bank and Bank of Tukwila, into a single commercial bank. As part of the consolidation process, InterWest Bank has converted its charter from a Washington state savings bank to a Washington state commercial bank. All locations of the three banks have become financial centers of InterWest Bank.

Escada USA

Escada USA has appointed Lizann La Grange to store manager of the new flagship boutique opening July 21 in downtown Seattle. La Grange brings 15 years of experience in retail management, merchandising and marketing to her new position. Escada is a fashion house offering apparel, accessories and fragrances.

Deloitte & Touche

Deloitte & Touche announced that David Grant has been elected a director in its creative tax services group in the professional services company's Seattle office. Grant has more than 26 years experience in the federal income taxation of corporations, partnerships and individuals. His specialities include mergers and acquisitions, pensions and compensation planning and the taxation of financial institutions.
