Tidemark Solutions

Tidemark Solutions, a Seattle-based developer of software and hosted Web services that streamline and simplify processes for state and local government, announced the appointment of former Seattle mayor Norman B. Rice to the company's board of directors. Rice joins the board chaired by former Washington state governor and U.S. senator Daniel J. Evans. Rice has served three-terms on the Seattle City Council and currently holds the position of president and CEO at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle.

Gogerty Stark Marriott

Lisa Danielson has joined Seattle-based public relations firm Gogerty Stark Marriott. Danielson comes to the firm from Communication Networks Northwest where she monitored legislative and regulatory issues in the Washington State Legislature for clients in a range of industries such as: energy and utilities, financial institutions, healthcare and technology.

Seattle Society of Financial Analysts

Rae Lyn Stannard, a senior vice president of Laird Norton Trust, was elected president of the Seattle Society of Financial Analysts for its 2000-2001 fiscal year. The membership also named Roy Hamrick of Hamrick Investment Counsel as vice president, James Simone of Sound Capital Partners as secretary and Elaine Heller of Rainier Group as treasurer. Appointed as trustees were: Steven Koenig of Informed Investors Group, Sharon Rowley of Sirah Capital Management and Linda Selegue of Washington Capital Management.

Aegis Assisted Living

Janis Parsley has joined Aegis Assisted Living, a Redmond-based developer and operator of assisted living communities, as corporate director of organizational development and training. Parsley was formerly the director of training for Pioneer Human Services in Seattle.

MarketFitz

MarketFitz, a Seattle-based marketing services company, announced a multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement with Protera, a vertical service provider delivering outsourcing solutions to the professional services industry. Protera will provide MarketFitz with customized, state-of-the-art, on-line capabilities designed to enhance MarketFitz's ability to serve its employees and customers across a broad spectrum of industries.

School Directors' Association

Steve Nielsen has resigned as executive director of the Washington State School Directors' Association. On Aug. 31, he will leave the state association of school board members to become the CEO of the Partnership for Learning, a business-sponsored non-profit organization that promotes high academic standards and school improvements.

Deloitte Consulting

Deloitte Consulting announced that Kim Haber has been promoted to director of its enterprise transformation practice in the Seattle office. Haber, who joined the firm as manager in 1993, focuses on e-technology integration. She has more than seven years of leadership experience with Deloitte Consulting implementing enterprise systems with clients in multiple industries including energy, high-tech and manufacturing. In addition, Kevin Morris has been elected a partner in the Seattle office. Morris, who joined the firm as manager in 1995, practices in the health care industry, focusing in e-technology integration.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo Securities has hired Daniel Grunau as private client services regional manager and senior vice president. Based in Seattle, Grunau is responsible for managing brokerage, operations and sales activities throughout Washington.

Seattle University

Seattle University is one of 17 educational institutions nationally, and 23 worldwide, chosen by Oracle Corp. to be a member of its software pilot program. The program allows the university to teach college students software programs that will provide them with highly marketable skills. The university received an in kind grant of software and technical support that totaled $1.38 million.

Oracle established the Oracle Academic Initiative, a $500 million program designed to provide software, curriculum, professional development and recruiting resources to colleges and universities. The company’s mission is to enable colleges and universities to use cutting-edge technology to provide the most beneficial educational experiences to students in all disciplines.

SoftSquare International

Edmonds-based information system, software and database management consulting company SoftSquare International appointed Prasad Juluri as its director of technology and business development. Juluri will drive SoftSquare's business-to-business application integration activities, manage and develop SoftSquare's technical personnel and work to solidify the company's resource base not only between the Pacific Northwest and Hyderabad, India, but throughout the world
