Northwestern Trust

Alexandra J. Mummery has been named a senior trust associate in the Personal Trust Department of Northwestern Trust and Investors Advisory Co. She will be in charge of supporting the daily administration of high net worth accounts, including helping with tax and estate planning. She has 10 years experience in marketing and business development, and was marketing director of a business succession and estate planning firm.

Alaska Airlines

Jack Walsh has joined the public affairs division of Alaska Airlines as an external communications specialist. He was formerly in the airline's consumer affairs department and served on the media response team which mobilized to handle media inquiries following the crash of Flight 261.

Bill Dugovich has been named communications director for the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, SPEEA, IFPTE Local 2001. He is president of Dugovich & Associates public relations agency.

Richmond Public Relations

Richmond Public Relations has added two wineries to its client list. Badger Mountain Vineyard and Powers Winery, both located in Kennewick, are now represented by the Seattle-based firm.

Bellingham-based Unity Group has hired Jim Brontoli as operations manager. He has 14 years experience with AT&T and TCI and will be in charge of managing customer support staff and agency automation systems along with participating in strategic planning efforts and on the senior management team. The Unity Group was founded in 1987 as an employee-owned independent insurance agency. It also has offices in Lynnwood, Everett and Sedro Woolley.

Consolidated Freightways

Consolidated Freightways, a Vancouver-based transportation carrier, has named Kerry Morgan vice president/treasurer and James Tener vice president/controller. Morgan is responsible for management of treasury, risk management and strategic planning functions within the company. Tener is responsible for the management and financial accounting functions of the company, as well as accounts payable and payroll departments that employ 110 people.

The Westin Seattle

Vince Speziale has been named general manager of Roy's Seattle, a Euro-Asian restaurant, at The Westin Seattle. Prior to his appointment, Speziale served as rooms and revenue manager at the Edmond Meany Hotel in Seattle. He also served as restaurant manager of Andiamo Pizza in the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers and as guest services manager at The Westin Santa Clara in Santa Clara, Calif.

Talking Rain Beverage

Talking Rain Beverage Co. of Preston is the official water of the Seattle Seahawks. The two-year contract makes Talking Rain Mountain Spring Water the exclusive bottled water for Seahawks games at Husky Stadium. This is the beverage company's first deal with a major sports franchise.

Typhoon

Typhoon, a Thai restaurant, has opened its doors in Seattle. The Seattle location, located at 1400 Western Ave., is the fourth location for owners Stephen and Bo Kline. The Klines launched their first restaurant in Portland in 1995. They have second restaurant in the Portland area and one in Redmond.

Onfree.com Chairman and co-founder Mitch Davis announced the election of Richard La Fond as president and CEO. Onfree.com, a Tacoma-based network community provider was recognized as one of the top 10 technology firms at the Tacoma/Pierce County eBusiness Day 2000 Awards, Aug. 24. La Fond comes to Onfree.com from Parker Paint, where he was president and CEO since March 1996.
