Girl Scouts - Totem Council

The Girl Scouts - Totem Council, based in Seattle, recently appointed Cheryl Chow, Lizanne Lyons, Marilyn Sherron and Sabrina Smith to its board of directors. Chow, who is interim principal at Garfield High School, was a former two-term Seattle City Council member. Lyons is a consultant and adjunct professor as Seattle University. Sherron is an assistant city attorney for the city of Seattle where she is director of the employment section. Smith recently completed her last year at Seattle University's school of law. Ruperta Alexis Caldwell, Linda Larson, Tracy Robinson and Lisa Verner were appointed to the organization's nominating committee.

Golf Savings Bank

Golf Savings Bank of Mountlake Terrace has announced the appointment of Mark Fairbanks as controller-mortgage division and Grace Garcia as public relations coordinator. The company also announced the promotion of Martin Law to controller-banking. Fairbanks will work with all six of the bank's mortgage branch offices. Garcia will work with the Pacific Northwest Golf Association and the Pacific Northwest section of the PGA in the bank's efforts to raise money to enhance the future of golf in the Northwest. Law has served as assistant controller for the bank for the past year.

Daniels-Brown Communications

Vicki Wiggins has been promoted to account executive with Daniels-Brown Communications, an Olympia-based advertising agency. Wiggins previously served as a project manager. In addition, Dana Kehr has been hired as marketing director. Kehr has been involved in radio, TV and ad agency management for more than 30 years.

Saflink

Saflink Corp., a Redmond-based provider of multi-biometric software solutions, announced that Glenn Argenbright, the former chief executive of Jotter Technologies, has replaced Jeffrey Anthony as the company's chairman and CEO. Argenbright was formerly with Intelligent Communications where he served as executive vice president of finance and acquisitions, and Internet Extra Corp. where he served as CEO. Steve Oyer, a director of Jotter Technologies, will replace James Shepperd as chief financial officer. The company announced an immediate 42 percent reduction in the workforce and the closure or downsizing of several offices

Columbia Bank

Phil Stanley was recently named vice president, I/T corporate auditor of Columbia Bank, the principal affiliate of Columbia Banking System. Previously an assistant vice president, loan review officer, Stanley brings more than 23 years of banking experience to his new position. Columbia Bank currently has 29 branches in Pierce, King, Kitsap, Thurston and Cowlitz counties.

Seattle Goodwill

Seattle Goodwill added Lisa Decker to its board of directors and promoted Terri Suzuki to director of the employment and training program. Decker is currently vice president and general manager for Infinity Broadcasting, owner of several Seattle radio stations including KBKS-FM, KMPS-FM, KYPT-FM, KZOK-FM and KYCW-AM. Previously, Suzuki was the coordinator of Goodwill's employment and training program in Everett. She will provide day-to-day management, guidance and development of the program.

Foster Pepper & Shefelman

Foster Pepper & Shefelman announced that Pamela McClaran, Deborah Crabbe, Meri Glade and Cory Zion have joined the law firm's Seattle office. McClaran, who is a member, chairs the firm's estate planning practice group. Crabbe, also a member, concentrates her practice in creditor's rights and bankruptcy. Glade, who is of counsel in the business practice group, concentrates her practice in intellectual property and licensing. Zion, who is an associate in the litigation practice group, concentrates her practice in commercial and complex litigation.

Boeing

Christopher Hansen, Boeing senior vice president, government relations, will retire at the end of June. Hansen joined the Boeing Congressional Affairs organization in May 1986. He held positions of increasing responsibility, including his appointment to vice president of Congressional Affairs in January 1993. He became vice president of the Washington office in September 1994, and vice president of government affairs in 1997
