Barney Ebsworth and Ray Ifert were elected to the Seattle Art Museum's Board of Trustees. Ebsworth was the founder of Clipper Cruise Lines and Royal Cruise Lines. He also collects 20th century American art and is co-chairman of the National Gallery of Art's Collector's Committee. Ifert is senior vice president, Private Bank, for the Washington/Idaho region of the Bank of America. He will serve as the bank's representative to the SAM's Board of Trustees.
Erika Cottrell has been appointed vice president responsible for marketing, human resources and project coordination for Tully's Coffee. She previously was controller responsible for monthly financials and monitoring accounting practices for Specialty Frozen Products. Cottrell has worked in sales management, distribution and accounting for nine years.
Preston Gates & Ellis, a Seattle-based law firm with international offices, has hired Annette Elinger as of counsel for its Seattle office. Her practice emphasizes business transactions and general corporate matters, especially equity financings, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions and strategic transactions for emerging and developing entities.
Red Lion Hotels & Inns, owned by Hilton Hotels Corp., is opening its 40th property, in Colorado Springs, Colo. The hotel is owned and managed by Century Pacific, Inc. under a license agreement with Red Lion Hotels.
Paul Elias, general manager of the Snohomish County Public Utility District, has been elected to the board of directors of the American Public Power Association. Elias will fill Mark Crisson's seat until June 2002 when his term ends

PAR3 Communications, a Seattle customer relationship management technology provider, announced that Brian Moore has joined its management team as executive director of business and vertical consulting. Moore brings almost 20 years of
Seattle-based Aventail, a managed service provider connecting people to applications, added Todd Haugen to its executive team. Haugen is vice president of the company's user management product team. Prior to joining Aventail, Haugen was founder and CTO for Q Strategies, a provider of business analytics software and services, and was director of SmartCard strategy for CyberSafe, a provider of e-security solutions and services.
John Sanders has been named vice president of retail operations for Tully's Coffee Corp., in charge of profitability of all retail locations and overseeing the company's training program. He previously was vice president of stores for Cartoys' 35 retail stores in four states, and held a similar position with Paccar. Randy Halter was named senior vice president and chief financial officer for Tully's. He will be in charge of internal financial management and investor relations. Previously, Halter worked for Specialty Frozen Foods as chief financial officer, and for Haagen-Dazs.
Jill M. Dalager is the new executive director for the Celebrate Redmond Foundation, created to help provide financial support for community projects and programs. Initially, the foundation will focus on the 4th of July Fireworks, Derby Days and RedmondLights. Dalager has several years of experience in non-profit management.
Horizon Broadcasting Group has moved its corporate headquarters to Boise to be closer to the majority of its properties. Horizon owns 11 radio stations in Boise and central Oregon. It was formed by Bill Ackerley, Dan Walker and Keith Shipman to acquire and operate small and middle-market radio stations in western states. Base Capital of Bellevue is among the founding investors
