Four new members have joined the YMCA of Greater Seattle's board of directors: Richard Locke of Grand Union Consultants; Scott Luttinen of Washington Trust Bank; Deanna Oppenheimer of Washington Mutual; and Stewart Parker of Targeted Genetics. Elected to continuing terms are Paul Chiles of Chiles and Co., Richard Jones of King County Superior Court, Carolyn Kelly of The Seattle Times, Jane Lewis of Pine Street Group, William Neukom of Microsoft, Steven Sundborg of Seattle University, John Vynne of Thunderbird Pacific Corp. and Martha Wyckoff.
Bellevue-based SA Global, an integrated accounting and business management solution provider, has changed its name to Grayson Group. In addition, the company is now employee owned. Grayson plans to move the company headquarters to larger office space in Bellevue in August 2001 and double the staff over the next two years.
U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray, providers of investment products and services to individuals, institutions and businesses, announced the hiring of James Hamner as assistant vice president—investments at its Poulsbo branch. Hamner comes to the office with 10 years of financial experience, much of it in the Kitsap Peninsula community. He has worked as an investment representative for Edward Jones in Bremerton and as the financial consultant in charge for Merrill Lynch’s Silverdale office.
Red Monkey Advertising, a Portland-based advertising agency, hired Mike Nugent as copywriter and Emily Peressini as project manager. Peressini's primary responsibilities include market research, account service support, and assisting in new business development. Before joining Red Monkey, Nugent attended The Portfolio Center in Atlanta

The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is seeking a replacement for outgoing executive director Jack MacArthur. After leading the chamber for four years, MacArthur will retire at the end of September. Under MacArthur's direction, the chamber's fundraising activities and improved management practices have put it on a financially stable footing. Membership has more than doubled to 652.
