Former Navy fighter pilots Ted K. Clarke and Pat T. Easter have started Jet Stream Car Wash at 19311 Highway 410 in Bonney Lake. It will have two automatic drive-through bays and three self-serve wand bays. Clarke and Easter both reside in the Seattle area.
Seattle's Plum Creek Timber Co.'s board of directors elected Ian B. Davidson chairman of the board. Davidson will replace David D. Leland, who is retiring. Davidson chairs the board of Davidson Companies, owner of the brokerage firm D.A. Davidson & Co. He also directs Plum Creek, which has 8 million acres of timberlands in major timber producing regions of the United States and 10 wood products manufacturing facilities in the Northwest.
Brett Rogers was named director of Washington State University's network of Small Business Development Centers. Rogers is an economic developer who directed business expansion for the Columbia River Economic Development Council. Rogers replaces Carolyn Clark, a faculty member in economics at WSU who retired this month. The centers provide free counseling and low-cost training for business owners. Bellevue-based marketing agency The Hacker Group named Jill Kaufman vice president of account services. Kaufman will oversee account services and manage client accounts. Kaufman managed direct marketing and marketing at a California bank and was also at a Miami-based agency where her key clients included Florida Power and Light and Capital Bank.

Aerolist Photographers named Ed Denn director of marketing. The company provides aerial images of sites in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Denn recently sold Renton-based Digital QuickColor & Sir Speedy Printing after 25 years. He was recruited by Susan Frye, president of Aerolist, which has been selling oblique aerials for 50 years.
American Home Equity Mortgage's new name is American Equity Mortgage. The change is part of an effort to align the St. Louis-based company's affiliates with its corporate name. American Equity Mortgage specializes in debt consolidation and has local offices in Bellevue.
Northwest credit unions Twin County and Harborstone say they intend to merge and form a new credit union. Assets would be about $1.07 billion, making it the third-largest credit union in the state, they say. Twin County has a call center and 14 branch locations in Thurston, Lewis, Grays Harbor, Clark and Pierce counties. Harborstone has 11 locations in Pierce and Thurston counties.
Rauxa Direct, a direct marketing agency headquartered in Orange County, Calif., has expanded its office in Seattle at 520 Pike St. by 5,000 square feet. Rauxa's Seattle team is led by Mark Capps, who was with Euro RSCG 4D in Baltimore. Rauxa offers creative, production, data and account services.
