Berk & Associates

Michael Regnier has joined Seattle-based public policy and management consulting practice Berk & Associates. He was with the American Institutes for Research in Washington, D.C. Kapena Pflum also joined, and was with a land use and transportation modeling group at the University of Washington.

Clothier & Head

Seattle-based accounting firm Clothier & Head promoted Ronald D. Nagle to tax services director. Nagle specializes in income tax, retirement and estate planning. Also promoted were Andrea M. Garcia and Scott R. Jaeger. Garcia does accounting and auditing. Jaeger works in the company's tax department.

Port of Seattle

The Port of Seattle named Gary Buchanan acting head of seaport security. Buchanan was a naval officer and manages human resources at Sea-Tac Airport.

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati named Barry M. Kaplan and Douglas W. Greene as litigation partners in Seattle. Both were partners at Perkins Coie. Wilson Sonsini provides legal services to technology and growth enterprises.

OnPR

The managing executives of OnPR are buying the agency, which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Waggener Edstrom Strategic Communications. OnPR will provide public relations service and counsel for wireless and enterprise technology companies. The company operates in Portland, Bellevue, San Francisco and Munich, Germany. Terms of the buyout were not disclosed.

Alaska Airlines

Megan Lawrence joined Alaska Airlines as director of government affairs. Lawrence was on the congressional staff of former U.S. Rep. George Nethercutt.

VoteHere

Bellevue-based VoteHere named Bryan Finney and William Warden director of government affairs and director of business development, respectively. Both have several years of experience working in the electronic voting industry. VoteHere says its technology has been used in 90 elections in the U.S. and Europe.

RAF Technology

Redmond's RAF Technology appointed Bryan Turner as chief technical officer. Turner has more than 20 years of experience in software and engineering. RAF offers identity authentication solutions for government and commercial clients.

Weyerhaeuser

Federal Way-based Weyerhaeuser Co. named Tom Holmes vice president of the company's Canadian Timberlands. He is also vice president of its Timberlands BC Coastal Group. Kurt Liebich will lead the Trus Joist business. He succeeds Tom Denig, who is retiring.
