Virginia Mason Medical Center

Virginia Mason Medical Center promoted two employees and hired one to management positions. Susanna Hugo has been promoted to manager of the Section of Otolaryngology, which also includes facial plastics and the Listen for Life Center. She has been with Virginia Mason since 1999. Michael Cuzzetto has been promoted to manager of the IS Data Center. Cuzzetto has been with the hospital since 1998. Elise Reich is the new manager for the Section of Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. Reich was the clinic director of Spellman Center for HIV-related diseases at St. Vincent Midtown Hospital in New York.

King County Superior Court

Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Commissioner Kimberley Prochnau of Seattle to the King County Superior Court. Prochnau has been a court commissioner and substitute judge for the King County Superior Court since 1994. She will fill the position vacated by Judge Richard Jones.

GMI, a provider of global market intelligence solutions, hired John Purrier as vice president of global technology. He has 25 years of software development experience and worked at Microsoft for 13 years. GMI is headquartered in Seattle.

King County

King County Council confirmed Theresa Jennings as director of the Department of Natural Resources and Parks. Jennings served as acting DNRP director since the June retirement of Pam Bissonnette. She has worked with King County since 1989.

Cascade Legal Copying & Technologies

Seattle-based Cascade Legal Copying & Technologies promoted John Nauta to general manager. Nauta has worked with the company since 2006. Cascade provides legal copying, document scanning and e-discovery services.

Virginia Mason Medical Center

Virginia Mason Medical Center appointed Steve Schaefer to an executive leadership role for Health Information Services. Schaefer will maintain his current position as vice president of finance and assume additional responsibilities in his new role.

Banner Bank promoted Steven W. Rust to executive vice president and chief information officer. Rust has served as Banner Bank's SVP and CIO since September 2004. Banner Bank is a commercial bank headquartered in Walla Walla.
