First Sound Bank promoted John Maihofer from cash management officer to vice president and relationship manager. Maihofer joined First Sound in 2006 and began his banking career in 2000.
Seattle-based Fearey Group, a public relations and public affairs firm, announced a formal affiliation with public relations agencies in Singapore, India and Amsterdam through the Public Relations Global Network. The companies are Mileage Communications of Singapore, Aspire Communications of India and Evident PR of Amsterdam.
Seattle Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tim Gallagher named Sue Goodwin recreation director, Robb Courtney director of the parks division, Kevin Stoops planning and development director and Michael Shiosaki deputy director of planning and development. Goodwin was director of recreation and community services in Ontario, Calif.; Courtney was parks and recreation manager for the city of Gresham, Ore.; Stoops has worked with Seattle Parks since 1981; Shiosaki is rejoining Seattle Parks and is the former manager of the Pro Parks Levy program.
Columbia Hospitality hired Jason Day as manager of World Trade Center Seattle. Day was manager and banquet captain of World Trade Center Seattle's Holland America Line Dining Room for four years and has worked with Columbia Hospitality for eight years.
Normandy Mortgage in Burien hired Joe Krumbach as vice president in charge of sales and recruiting. Krumbach has been in the mortgage industry since 1990.

Nelson Dong, a partner in the law firm Dorsey & Whitney's Seattle office, has been appointed a member and director of the National Committee on U.S. – China Relations. The committee is the leading private national organization in U.S.-China relations. Current members include former U.S. secretaries of state Madeline Albright and Henry Kissinger, and former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. Dong is a business attorney and co-chair of the Dorsey Asian Law practice group.
Seattle-Northwest Securities Corp., an investment banking firm, has created a new team called the SNW Energy Group. Members have experience in public finance and renewable energy projects. They will focus on banking and advisory services for municipalities, public power issuers, project developers and energy funds.
Maggiano's Little Italy in Bellevue hired Chris Horning as sous chef. Horning worked in Alaska at Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage.
Clark Nuber, a CPA firm in Bellevue, hired Marin Anderson as tax intern, Alex Gvozdkova as audit associate, Julie Maytum as audit senior, and Nate Knutson, Haley Richardson, Rebekah Stanley, Danielle Wagner and Carlie Widhalm as audit interns.
